What I really like about the song being that loud is that it's kinda like the music in full disclosure getting louder as Steven spirals deeper about everything that's happened to him, it's overwhelming and that's the point. Although with full disclosure the overwhelming feeling is rising anxiety while in addict it's manic energy, trying to cover up the pain with unchecked chaos and indulgence. Idk, that's how I see it. Doesn't really change how it feels to listen to I guess but I already liked it being loud so maybe I'm just biased lol.

There's a live action video out there by the woman who choreographed Angel's routine, where in slo mo you can see Angel fling out three very rude gestures in a row which, it's very likely, are the things that made Valentino want to subdue him. (I actually despise Valentino and hope he dies very early on. He's not a "love to hate him" villain at all, to me, he's just thoroughly disgusting. I doubt, however, that I'll receive this gift, which is probably for the best storywise!) There's also a hint, when slowed down, that the entire first portion of the video is unfortunately just a dream (green glow paint on the wall towards the end), or an expression of what these two best friends WANT to happen but can't (yet?) accomplish-Cherri Bomb goes through the town blowing up all of the properties that has Val forced Angel to perform in, but what we see as a part of *reality* is Val's repeated abuse of Angel. Another thing I find fascinating is that Michael Kovach's real voice is CONSIDERABLY deeper than Angel's, which means that (as he did with the character, often) he performed that entire song compressing his larynx with two fingers!!

You should definitely check out the comics at some point, but instead of you reading them yourself, you could watch dubs of them, specifically Paranoid DJ's dubs, he's _really_ good at dubbing comics and adding fitting audio and sound effects to enhance the experience, highly recommend!
One of the subtle things I adore most about this video is Silva Hound's use of silences and white noise. He sticks them in there to refocus the listener's attention with unexpected extra beats and it's captivating.
My dude I can't believe you went this long without watching Addict. XD It *IS* kind of a tease, though. I love what you said about it, you pretty much nailed the feeling of the video and what it's imparting about who Angel Dust is as a character and what trajectory we might see from him. He's gotten caught in a world he never wanted to be part of--I'd argue that he may have enjoyed the dancing, and he was probably pretty promiscuous, but on his terms--because Valentino dragged him into prostitution and porn and makes his afterlife probably as miserable or more than his human life. Now we just have to wait... more. UGH. But yeah, I'm with you on that I'm glad they're taking their time to make it the best show they can make it.

Something I’ve been mulling over with Hazbin for awhile now is it’s whole plot about redemption for Hell’s denizens. It’s obviously ironic that Charlie as the Princess of Hell under Lucifer, hoping to redeem sinners despite them being her subjects. What I found interesting is that this means Charlie might ultimately have to part ways with everyone she redeems, including Alastor, Angel Dust, Husker, Nifty, and her girlfriend Vaggie. I say this because the Hotel’s purpose is only to rehabilitate SINNERS, former humans who have lived their lives and sinned. The issue is that Charlie was born IN hell from Lucifer (a fallen angel) and Lilith. She has NO sin to pardon and atone for, so it seems she’d be left behind. If you’ve never seen the anime “Angel Beats,” I’d definitely recommend checking it out, cuz it’s got a similar concept of helping the dead find closure with their former lives, before their souls can finally move on.
That's very much what it's like working at a group home sometimes. Always seeing new faces, becoming friends, and they pass on just when you feel you really know them. It can be rough.

He is Angel Dust, he did so much for and with the fandom and his voice is just perfect for the character. I wont be too hard on whoever they cast for Angel but I know I'm never going to like their voice as much Michael Kovach.

I adore what we've gotten so far but Hazbin Hotel still feels like vaporware to me. Mostly because it still doesn't feel any closer to release yet and I keep thinking why they would split their efforts between this and Helluva Boss instead of pouring everything into their Core IP. Then there's also how much Merchandising there is for a show that hasn't even aired yet. Doesn't mean I'm not exited for it. Just a couple thoughts I can't shake.
They probably would have had a similar set up to Helluva boss, but since they're working with another company it'll probably come out season by season. Hopefully on Amazon Prime or Netflix though.
