Florida was the first holiday my family went abroad, it was 1992 and we were so excited. It didn't disappoint. The people were lovely and i couldn't believe the heat and the size of the food portions😂. I remember when we flew back over the UK it was raining and miserable, i felt like crying haha.
Under our second lockdown watching this while on the treadmill in my living room is pure bliss. Made about 12 years since I've been to Miami, I miss it soo much.
that would be cool but in the 1920s camera quality looked nothing like actual real life, but camera quality nowadays looks just like it and i wouldnt think there would be a huge difference

Actually, too much sunlight glare blinding roads, concrete, sparse/ manicured vegetation and a hostile place for pedestrians. It is one thing seeing it on a video and another seeing it in person. Florida has better urban experiences than Miami, and Miami has neighborhoods that frankly have nothing to envy to third world slums.
Haven't been down there in about a year. Watching this video makes me want to take another day trip back down. Miami is my number one in the state and probably in my top five in the country.

Actually, the nicest parts you've seen in this video are NOT from Miami, but from Hallandale Beach, Hollywood, Dania Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Sunrise, which are all cities from Broward County (not Dade as Miami is). Not all south Florida is Miami.

This is what paradise looks like, the way one envisions paradise, while minus 30 degrees Celsius outside, with your car buried under piles of snow. I guess some residents of Miami do dream of cold and snow sometimes. All in all, an amazing city and a great video !!

@Michael Jones I agree but I can say that the last thing anybody would ever call Miami is "boring'. It just has this "vibe" to it that very few cities do.
Some of the reasons why I love Miami (Never been there before) is because of the design of how the city is made. The city has very nice homes and other stuff. The cars are just as warm. Plus Fisher Island makes it a unique treasure.

For my friend who moved to Broward in 1997 Miami is one of the nicest cities in the US. It's not as dry as in Arizona, Texas or California. It's green. Waterfront. Good food. He loves Miami.
Another epic ride-along with J Utah! Thank you! I couldn't pick just one part as my favorite. I did however enjoy your drive through Sunny Isles. Seeing the new posh high rise condos was fun (I paused several times along the way to Google some of them to see more) and all of the new construction taking place! Another favorite was your drive along the Atlantic shoreline in Fort Lauderdale with the beaches on one side and the hotels, condos and restaurants, etc. on the other (separated by the undulating wall that seemed to go for miles)! Thank you for taking me on another 'vacation' without having to leave home.
Nice drive! Have to go there and rent a car some day. Remember driving in LA 19 years ago and really loved to drive on big American roads that we don't have here in Scandinavia.

But in miami water is everywhere. Youre always near a lagoon, a canal or a river within 2minute walk everywhere 😂 The environement is also much more vacation tropical island style. While in los angeles it feels more like a semi dry desert kind of like las vegas. But with more trees and vegetation
I was there during COVID too, working on an album. It was pretty surreal, but we still had the beach to go to and open air restaurants. We made the best of things.

And the canals. The lagoons. Rivers. All the mini lakes through the great miami area. Makes it soo enjoyable if you love water related activity
In los angeles water related activity isnt really that much part of life..most people live and work in place where they rarely see water. But in miami water is everywhere. Youre always near a lagoon, a canal or a river within 2minute walk everywhere 😂
The environement is also much more vacation tropical island style. While in los angeles it feels more like a semi dry desert kind of like las vegas. But with more trees and vegetation

I was there during COVID too, working on an album. It was pretty surreal, but we still had the beach to go to and open air restaurants. We made the best of things.
