Actually your height could be different through out the day due to your spine compression. From 3-5 cm, stretching in the morning helps extend 3-5 cm for a short period of time depends on the activity you do.
5cm is a lot of variation. If we forget morning height our height just ranges between 1cm up and down. That’s our real height. In my case I’m 188cm and 187-187.5cm when I get tired then when I’m relaxed once again 188cm. 189-189.5cm lasts only in the morning. If we forget morning typically our height goes back and fourth 1cm. If you are 181cm then you’ll be 180/181cm depending if your activity. If you are 188cm like me you’ll be 187/188cm during your day. A 200cm guy would be 199/200cm depending what he does. That’s why I believe our height is our average height not our low. In my case as 187cm low and 189cm max I go with 188cm. I can even measure 188cm in the evening after I’m relaxed. That means I’m 188cm

The spine is made out of discs and bones. The more you go through your day, the more your discs and bones will contract togheter making you shorter in the evening and taller in the morning. That's why it is indicated to measure in the morning cause' then you'll find your true height. If you have back issues you may shrink more depending on how worse the issue is. I myself as many other people may do, would recommend you to visit a chiropractor so you can follow a spine treatment and adjust the spine. ( I used to be 6', but now that I have scoliosis, I got shorter with an inch or so. )

Our spine has little sponges like things between our bones and when spending time up they flatten so we loose like 1 or 2 cm, sometimes more, sometimes less, depends on the activity you did during the day! They regain their normal size if we lie down during a long time, so at night, when we sleep!

I am 187.2cm on average I shrink 2.5-3 cm so If I would get measured I would be 184-2-184.7 during the day

Actually your height could be different through out the day due to your spine compression. From 3-5 cm, stretching in the morning helps extend 3-5 cm for a short period of time depends on the activity you do.
5cm is a lot of variation. If we forget morning height our height just ranges between 1cm up and down. That’s our real height. In my case I’m 188cm and 187-187.5cm when I get tired then when I’m relaxed once again 188cm. 189-189.5cm lasts only in the morning. If we forget morning typically our height goes back and fourth 1cm. If you are 181cm then you’ll be 180/181cm depending if your activity. If you are 188cm like me you’ll be 187/188cm during your day. A 200cm guy would be 199/200cm depending what he does. That’s why I believe our height is our average height not our low. In my case as 187cm low and 189cm max I go with 188cm. I can even measure 188cm in the evening after I’m relaxed. That means I’m 188cm

The spine is made out of discs and bones. The more you go through your day, the more your discs and bones will contract togheter making you shorter in the evening and taller in the morning. That's why it is indicated to measure in the morning cause' then you'll find your true height.
If you have back issues you may shrink more depending on how worse the issue is. I myself as many other people may do, would recommend you to visit a chiropractor so you can follow a spine treatment and adjust the spine. ( I used to be 6', but now that I have scoliosis, I got shorter with an inch or so. )

I think most of them did not lied. You get your height measured in schools and when you go to hospitals. I think they just said what they remembered from those measurements, and I think the deductions from the soles of their shoes are inaccurate.
