It is customary to only to select people who have their hands up and their questions ready. He broke with the protocol and she apologised for not being ready by putting herself down. He was rude, discourteous and immature. The journalists are there to ask questions that we cannot ask. The point is that we analyse how they answer those questions. Yes, some questions are silly, some even stupid, but how the person being asked answers is what we are supposed to look at. If they deal courteously with a question, then our impression of them will go up. Trump showed himself up - no one else. If you think you can be a better journalist, go out and try doing it. Otherwise, please stop telling your grandmother how to suck eggs.

It's not the reporters job to suck up to the President. 3 reporters all tried to ask Trump about his take on Kavanaugh. Catching someone off guard is IMO a good way to get something out of them. Because the one being questioned either tries too hard to digress or fumbles up their answer, or in this case, insults a reporter like a child.

You do realize that the economy had been on an upwards trend for years before Trump became president, right? The most he's done for the economy is make a good situation better, but even that's kind of questionable in the long since trickle down economics has never really worked beyond a short term boost
