"Don't let him escape." - just before allowing the Guardian to attack. "Break him!" - ordering the guardian to attack. "Join the shadows!" - using his desperation finisher. "Is that all... the light can muster?" - upon victory. "What...? How?" - upon defeat.
1:38 hits so hard. I feel so bad for Terra, he had the most dramatic story in the series, that's why he's my favorite character. He had his body, heart and mind all separated from one another for more than a decade, yet he still managed to come back. What a legend.
I think the reason why people prefer the one in BBS than this one was because it doesn't have so much emotion and tension than the first. Which is understandable and what I believe, intentional. Why? Because then it was a master trying to save her best friend. Here, it's a boy freeing a fellow peer from his own demons.
Given the impact from the hits the dark guardian does... it really does seem like Terranort is trying to "break him".... Into a bunch of tiny pieces at that...
tbh, other than Terra, Xehanort himself also have Anakin element. Raised as no one and driven to both despair and curiosity to the dark side, that YX'S ethereal blade in BBS is blue , when Xemnas's is red. Xemnas is Darth Vader to BOTH YX and Terra's Anakin.
I think it also fits cause the lyrics were referencing Terra being trapped and aqua calling out to him in this its just data and thus the lyrics wouldnt make sense for data-sora to have with him.

I Have to kindly dissagree. This fight makes his bbs counter-part look like a cake-walk...cuz it is. All you have to do is stand there, block, reprise, spam magic and occasionally doge roll.
