I’m a 13 yr old panic loving teen who plays guitar and looks up to jimmy herring. I know about 45 panic songs or songs they play all the way thru and can jam in them and ever since I seen them live I’ve feel in love with jimmy and want to learn his techniques.
I learned what I consider a really important riff from Jimmy Herring. It's from the full diminished (whole/half) scale. It's in one of his videos I have somewhere, but I think I've seen that segment here on YT. I also transcribed it to harmonic minor, then some other modes. Fun stuff!😊

I saw Jimmy Herring with Col. Bruce in Downtown Knoxville Tn they had just gotten signed and they absolutely blew me away. They had an opening act of a drummer doing an Alex Haley tribute. What a night!!! I got shit faced but can still remember the incredible chords Jimmu was throwing out to say nothing of his solo's
