I'm not quite sure - there's nothing recent posted on their Facebook page. I'm hoping to go back to Calella later this year to do some more videos so will investigate for you when I get there! 👍
@@pbcreative6388 Is hotel Goya still there? It was on a corner. Small pool on the roof. I was there early seventies. Calella defenitely changed a lot! And not for the best,,, At that time there were only (a few) real Spanish shops and a small indoor shopping centre. And an old fisherboat on the beach.
I don't think it's still there, and the last entry on TripAdvisor was many years ago! I will be going back to Calella some time this year and will take a walk down the road where it used to be. I might even put it in my next UA-cam video 👍@@Kismet1955
It's fairly quiet some evenings but plenty of cafes and restaurants still open till late. This wasn't filmed at the height of the season so I guess it can get quite busy then. I never go in those months as it's too hot for me!
Thank you, I know it's part of Catalunya but when we book a holiday we have to choose either Costa Blanca or Costa Brava. I've always known that area as Costa Brava. What is the Costa Brava then?
It is. From wikipedia: "The Costa Brava is a coastal region of Catalonia in northeastern Spain." Costa Blanca is around Alicante in Valencia further south.
Love this! Especially the doggies and the fountain.
Thank you! It's a lovely place to visit!
It even looks better when you are there than on video! I was here last week and it was amazing!
It's a lovely place, I can't wait to go there again!
in the 80s and 90s it was full
looks very quiet
It's fairly quiet late in the evenings, but this was in May, I think it's a lot busier at the height of the season! And a lot hotter! 🙂
What happened to the Alcatraz ?..

@@pbcreative6388 Thanks, I’m curious to see if the owner has retired and if there are perhaps new people in 🤔
I will try to find out for you! 👍
