Wonderful! Happy to hear that. I found that sometimes the fenugreek is stronger than other times. You know by its smell. So I usually adjust the amount I add accordingly.
Unless you live in a very hot weather, room temperature should be fine for up to a week. However, you can always be safe and refrigerate. Just make sure to get it out before serving to come back to room temperature.
..other recipes use the reserved water from boiling fenugreek.. . Any difference? You drained the boiling water and cooked the fenugreek further ..and did you use reserved water …? It looks like you used water..
Assalamu alaykom, Im having a hard time about the thickness becoz i have small pan, can u tell me what is the best thickness for hilbeh? Thanks 🙏🙏🙏❤️ Allah bless you😇
It is a matter of personal preference. My family likes it thin so I spread it thin to 1-2 cm thick. But you can make it thicker if you wish. I think up to 5-7 cm is quite common.
This looks extremely dangerous. I can see me eating way too many of these! Thank you for the recipe and nice clear instructions - I will make these for my friend's birthday in a week.
Haha. They are addictive. The fenugreek and olive oil are good for health in moderation of course. But then we drench this in sugar syrup! not healthy! But as a treat they are great!
@Taboon Bakery I came back to tell you I did indeed make them for my friend's birthday and my friend loved them! I have made them twice more since making them for the birthday celebration and they have turned out perfectly each time. Thank you for such a good recipe and very clear instructions. Your recipe is delightful. 🙂
I made it, following your recipe exactly, except I used all the fenugreek seeds, and it was delicious! Thank you very much!
