I checked back with the driver he said was on. high sided in the middle with both a front and rear wheel able to spin. His traction control was not engaging properly, a new car so possibly it was operator error w.r.t. traction control features despite him being experienced.
I think the centre diff lock was not locked, perhaps still in high range. So once the rear wheel was free it just spun. I wasn't in the car and while he was experienced in old fashioned 4wds, this was his first press buttons type 4wd.
@@veryaware make sense , I think I can relate to this , my 4wd takes time to lock the diffs once button pressed , I think it needs driver to drive few meteres in front
More correctly he was not familiar with the electronics of the car and yes he did not use them well. That driver actually has a lot of experience doing hard tracks in more mechanical vehicles. He has towed a trailer the whole telegraph track for example.
I don't think it was the drivers fault, those 120 Prado's are known to have poor traction control activation/disactivating, and as the guy said in the vid traction control wasn't engaging and by that point the vehicle had already gotten stuck.
I like the prado and it's the best off-road car but it got stuck this is a sad moment for the land cruiser lovers😟
best vid ever
Hello
I know you
who are you?
I am a friend from school
Traction control on the 150 is very good until 2 wheels are off the ground then its useless.
Needs a rear diff locker
Methinks no center diff lock was on

I think its stuck
This might be 4 cylinder. I own a 4.0 v6 prado (my dad)
Why front wheel was not spinning in the end ?

pudo salir?
necesitaba ser sacado
My advice Know the limits of the vehicle before you “experiment “ with it, mud=money.
agreed mud = money. My 120 prado went through first just fine. He experimented with a friend around to help should recovery be needed.

Crap driver in a very capable car
