Tbf Gojo at the time wasnt a God. According to Gojo himself Geto is as strong as he is and Geto thinks he himself isnt even Special Grade Level (We see the graph where Geto is like either at the top of grade one or slightly above that).
So they are basically Grade 1 sorcerers at that point.

Gojo is actually 16 turning 17 in this period. In the manga, he's currently 29.
For anime only people they see gojo acting completely different and they’re just so confused that’s what I like about this arc 😂

In the scene where Gedo is telling Gojo in the elevator, "I've been wanting to say this for a while,but you should stop being so full of yourself." and "You should be more polite and humble." what he says in Japanese is different from what is shown in the translated subtitles.
In the actual scene, Gedo is suggesting to Gojyo that he should change the first person from "ore" to "boku" (because it would be less intimidating).
This is a story about a unique Japanese expression that is difficult for non-Japanese speakers to understand, so I think the content was changed in the translation.
In response to Gedo's words, the future Gojo changed the first person to "boku" and changed his tone of voice to a gentler one. (Since there are many words in Japanese that mean the same thing but are phrased differently, he has chosen to use more polite words.)
To avoid intimidating the students, Gojo follows the advice of his best friend.
(For Japanese people, changing the first person is a pretty big deal, and I'm writing this comment on various videos because I really want to convey that!😂)
This was 2006, gojo was 16/17 second year student, mei mei and utahime were already pro sorcerers. Gojo is 28 in the present
Mei mei is one year senior to Utahime and Utahime is one year senior to Gojo and Geto

This story takes place in 2006 (hence microsoft XL!), season 1 was set in 2018 and JJK0 was in 2017 (that was the publication dates of both manga but a few details in the anime adaption confirm it happens in that timeframe).

@@Faynwulf Yeah, I knew something felt off when I was writing that.
I think Geto's more or less lying to himself at this point. He's trying to be the good sorcerer who helps people, but even now he's saying that it's normal humans that cause curses to exist to exist in the first place (when he talks about needing veils to keep the public calm), so I guess eventually that gets twisted into thinking that getting rid of non-sorcerers would go a long way towards eliminating/managing curses.

It's subtle but Geto's philosophy and attitude even as a teen are slightly skewed. It's just that he's not as openly antagonistic as Gojo, so he comes off as more innocent(he's not).
His attitude does a complete 180. Here he says that non jujutsu sorcerers need to be protected and it's their duty to protect. Current geto wants to kill them all. His views aren't skewed yet
Geto was a lot kinder when he was younger his mind changed during this arc
@@luckypanda7707 His views are skewed. He chastises the weak same as Gojo. But like I said, Geto isn't as open about it so he comes off nice when he's really passive aggressive.

@@luckypanda7707 In this same episode, he tells Gojo "You shouldn't pick on the weak" while saving Utahime. MeiMei follows up saying Geto is fanning the flames(as in he's making fun of Utahime). Geto's whole deal is that hes an asshole like Gojo but he's not as direct.
hmm thats nice theory, tengen sama becomes curse spirits and getting absorb by geto. even though there are alots that could happen inbetween leading to that event, if this is where they are going with plot.
