Last time I played one of Gottlieb's games at a laundromat was 10 years ago... Needless to say, the laundromat failed to have their arcade games working correctly. I was only lucky 2 or 3 times when I played their arcade machines. Cueball Wizard was broken, no out of order sign, took people's money including mine, and failed to give me each ball unless I tilted the machine. If a laundromat wants to have arcade games, they need to take care of them as soon as there is something wrong with the game.
When you run in to a broken game gorilla glue in the lock cylinders will guarantee the game will disappear, put some in the bill exepter and coin slot as will and it will take no more money, lol , can't maintain your game ? , then you don't deserve it,lol !
We have this table at the arcade I work at. I was super excited about it, as I'm a diehard Fredhead who'd never played it before. Not the best table ever by a long shot, but it's got a ton of charm. Ours is a little beat up (Freddy struggles to spit out the pinball, all but one of the claws on the glove flipper are missing, etc.), but I love it. We just got an Addams Family in, though, so it's hard to decide which one to spend more time on. :P
also to let u know what is going on in the game. you put the ball into the boiler room in the top right that opens and closes. u enter a nightmare mode in which time u hit all the spots that have Freddy's head flashing on the play field. it puts your power up and then before the nightmare ends you put the ball back into the boiler room. it ends the nightmare and u defeat Freddy. do this as much as u can for all nightmare modes. hope that helps.
I saw someone who had it listed for sale and wanted to see the game play. Of course Tatty comes to the rescue with another great video of the game play. This game is typical of later solid state Gottliebs (with a few exceptions). Unclear objectives, poor rules, shallow game play, "eh" shots. It is a shame because the theme is golden. They did something similar to Class of 1812. Killer theme with the humor and collecting stiffs, campy gags and decent layout, but just useless rules. It is like they never figured out how to get away from their golden era of wedge heads and early SS machine game play (just keep the ball in play for points). With all of the technology, DMD's, light shows, music and sound effects aimless game play just doesn't cut it. On location, sure if it gets people to drop coins. To have in a collection, no to so much. Great vid and accurate write up. Thanks Tatty
I remember when I was watching Freddy vs Jason with the commentary on, Robert englund mentioned that there is a Nightmare on elm St pinball machine and had one in his office, I knew they were around before, but I couldn't remember if of seen one in real life. But if pinball machines weren't so expensive and if I had room for one, I'd go for it. But a basement would be perfect for arcade game machines like this. I had a friend who had a Jurassic Park one and he kept his in his basement which he also labeled as his office/mancave.
Great table! This is probity the only pinball table close to me in a public place. I am hoping FarSight will have a kickstarter for this so it can be digital.
This must be fairly rare as never even knew this existed. Pretty timely too what with Wes Craven's recent passing. Surely a TAF should sit between IJ and MM though?
Have a problem with mine. When I close coin door it continually beeps And scores flash on DMD . Won’t let me play game. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I remember that I used to be scared of the pinball machine not that there's anything particularly scary and I never seen a Freddy Krueger movie at the time when I was little I was more just scared because it's supposed to be scary
I really want one of these. Just don’t want to spend more than 2500.00. You check eBay there are two right now. One needs a lot of updating an who knows what else for 4000.00. Don’t let me get started on the one they are asking 6000.00 for.
I love that it has Nancy on it (Iconic bath scene). If I was rich this would be one of the first things i would buy

Why not both ;)

Thank you due that info. I've been looking around to find the rules and this saved me alot of time.

Thank you for your kind words, I'm blushing :-)

Wow
Every franchise has a pinball machine
I played this pinball machine in a fish and chip shop once
Damn I wanted to see the Claw Save. Sweet machine though! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, it does fire at 4.35 but doesn't save it which is quite usual to be fair :-)
5:53 I think that's the first time that I see a Gottlieb pinball with a lottery animation

+Star Hedgehog Unusual to find one in the wild, not the most friendly theme!
I have a feeling one of these years during Halloween, this table will make it's grand debut to The Pinball Arcade...
@@kingbawesome this didn't age well
Is there a replacement Freddy glove for sale anywhere? I'm buying one of these tomorrow, but would like to fix the broken claws

+RetroRepair It has been on my radar for years but they don't seem to turn up often. My TAFG is right down the other end of the arcade :-)
not a lot of shots really, but id have it just for the classic theme, englunds voice over etc.
that claw save is kinda cool
Looks cool but I don't know if I'd want to own this pin if I was a collector.
I played this one before... It is definitely a good one! :)
I have this table as well.. I think I'm having some solenoid issues for the left up kicker.. gotta get around to fixing it tbh
3:07 Is "Nightmare 3" a 2-ball multiball?
