I’ve actually managed to get my grandma’s ‘07 Rancher ES up to 55mph one time on what I’m pretty sure is a fairly flat surface, but i was doing it for fun, I’ll have to do it properly by going both ways & such.
My 08' 420ES hit the limiter at 54mph with stock tires fairly quick(51gps) and sees 52 on 27" Vampires on a LONG dirt road(54gps) My 11' 420AT/EPS couldn't reach the limiter, only 51 (48gps) on stock tires. Hits the limiter at 47gps with 27" TSL/ATV's and a 15% secondary reduction (SRA gear swap)
@@Anonymouso283 - Could be due to rider weight, poor break-in, or even elevation. Maybe a combination or even just a slightly weaker engine than some others.
Just curious but how good is no lift shifting on this? I’ve done it before on an ‘07 Rancher ES with the handlebar shifter, which it shifts instantly, but I’m curious if that’s worse for the trans.
I have a 2008, 420cc one of these. Can I only downshift when I’m at a complete stop or can I whilst moving but not giving it gas. I know these guys are tough but I don’t want to mess it up. I’m use to auto ATV’s.
Love the whine you hear when you decelerate it sounds so cool. Especially when you downshift

Pretty good. My '15 Rubicon foot shift would top at 49mph.
What tires you got on it ?
@@ezclaps-md1077 I had stock tires on it at the time.

Awesome info, sounds like some great rides!
Could you do a video on how to change the rear brakes on theses machines?
Is it really going 50 or is it really going like 90
I know damn well it will hit 55 if you push it a little harder

55? Are you fucking drunk? I would’ve said 52 would’ve been it’s max.
@@Anonymouso283 nah i have one just like this and i hit 56 on rev limiter

Thanks for the question/comment. It can be done, but don't expect it to not shred the clutch plates or explode the clutch basket over time.
@@atvdirt1 i figured. Cuz one time I did it unconsciously and I was like “that must’ve been too good to be true”
Honda boy!!

down shift whenever, but yes always off the gas when shifting up or down....learn to rev match also
What year was that four wheeler can I ask
Did it do a small wheelie? Mine does. Keep the vids coming
Yes, it did lift a bit when shifting to second
Looks like you ran out of straight road. Did it have a little more in it for top speed?
May have cranked out 52 mph eventually... it had stopped pulling and was wound tight.
I got a question how did you get a screen one a foot shift?
Newer models
Does this have a manual or automatic clutch
This one was a foot shift model, semi automatic, no hand clutch.. Thanks for you question and comment.
My 420 electronic shift tops at 54
Awesome, appreciate the comment!
My honda trx 420 FA shift tops at 41 mph , heeeelp! appears to be electronically limited :(
Fabricio Miovich you probably still have a factory govner on it look for It and take it off

Plenty fast...
Fun video to watch!!
Absolutely, thanks for the comment!
Wonder what it would do without it being governed.
Hank Hill... it was wound pretty tight... deff has the engine to pull higher gearing.
i got mine a while ago it tops out at 80
Geeze.... hold on!
Everything ATV-UTV-Reviews it’s been modded soooooo

I've hit 53 on 2011 4X4. I do wheelie all the time. Bullet proof machines. If you don't submerge them in water. Idiots
