- The full Drive & Sound with the strong performing 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG powered by the latest 5.5 V8 Biturbo with 558hp & 720Nm of torque.This particular car comes with the optional 4Matic AWD system that I would recommend everybody since the traction is superb. It is mated with the very quick shifting AMG Speedshift transmission that I prefer over BMW's DCT in the M6 Gran Coupe. Because of all that power and traction this is the quickest 0-100 km/h time that I have ever tested although that the speedometer seems to be very accurate (250 speedo = 250 limiter). The sound also is typical AMG despite the fact that two turbos steal some exhaust air. If you enjoyed watching this don't hesitate to LIKE / COMMENT & SUBSCRIBE!

There are actually 3 models of this 2014 CLS 63: You can have the 558hp (720Nm) variant or the 585hp one (800Nm). The "small" one can be ordered with 4matic as an option, the 585 top-end model is called "AMG-S" and always has 4Matic.

Sag mal zahlst Du den normalen Preis bei Sixt oder hast Du Sonderkonditionen, hab mir auch schon einiges ausgeliehen z.B. den V12 Vantage aber das geht ja leider ganz schön ins Geld...
Danke! Natürlich bekomme ich als treuer Sixt Kunde mittlerweile Sonderkonditionen, jedoch nichts was sich jeder andere Kunde nicht auch "erarbeiten" könnte. Die Preise sind meines Erachtens für das Gebotene relativ fair, denn wenn man mal einen Aston Martin V12 zum Kauf + Unterhalt kalkuliert sind 1,25 EUR pro Kilometer schon quasi subventioniert;-)

Danke für das Lob!:-) Ich habe mir auch größte Mühe gegeben den V8 Biturbo Sound einzufangen, und ich war selber positiv überrascht wie gut der (insbesondere von Außen) klingt!
Es ist sowieso unglaublich was AMG da auf die Beine gestellt hat, der Bursche ist ein echter Krawallmacher, der klingt noch richtig nach V8...
Habe ich bei den nachfolgenden Modellen außer dem 45 AMG irgendwie vermisst, da fehlte ein bisschen das Raue eines V8's.
Mal schauen wie der neue C63 klingen wird, hoffentlich bleibt uns der grandiose Klang auch mit Downsizing erhalten ;)
TheLukas12364 Ich gehe stark davon aus, dass sich der Sound des neuen C63 (5.5 Liter V8-Biturbo?) stark an dem dieses CLS orientieren wird. Daher, dass die jüngere Klientel es etwas lauter mag wird er sicherlich noch aggressiver klingen, vermutlich über eine Sporttaste auch mit Klappenauspuff versehen sein.

Hab mich vielleicht nicht richtig ausgedrückt, hätte ich verbessern sollen...
Ich wollte damit zum Ausdruck bringen dass alle AMG außer dem CLS und dem 45er irgendwie nicht diesen WOW-Effekt an Auspuffsound haben...

Hammer geiler Sound und den noch richtig gut eingefangen, aber mit welcher Kamera hast du die außen Aufnahmen gemacht? Ich geh mal davon aus dass die Sicht auf den Auspuff mit der GoPro gefilmt worden ist.
Richtig, GoPro 3 Hero Plus für den Auspuff und eine Sony HDR 650 für die Außenaufnahmen.

Langsam sollte ich von Manufactum Verkaufsprovision bekommen;) Schau mal bei manufactum.de Genau die gleichen gibt es leider nicht mehr, aber die haben immer wieder Fahrerhandschuhe im Angebot. Diese sind schon 10 Jahre alt.

dass der besser als der S63 klingt ist klar....ist ja ein Luxusauto...Hast den Sound vom E 63 AMG S schonmal mit dem verglichen? Ist der echt schlechter?
Ich denke jedes dieser Autos hat eine eigene Klangabstimmung der Abgasanlage. Ich bekomme vielleicht über die Saison noch mal einen E63 AMG, dann werde ich mal schauen ob der anders klingt. Wir werdens sehen/hören;-)
Mercedes AMG Der alte S63 klang ja auch um einiges brutaler als der jetztige.
Der CLS klingt wie der alte E63 aus irgendeinem Grund.. der jetztige hat einfach keine Präsenz mehr..
Klar der alte S 63 AMG hatte auch noch den M156 Motor...der war in allen Modellen heftiger.
Ab 2010 hatten sowohl der E63 als auch der S63 den M157 Motor, den auch der CLS hier hat. Deswegen wundert es mich ein wenig.

why do you think this gearbox is better than BMW's M-DCT?
I drove the DCT in the current 2013 M3 and the current M6 and I found it very good, but I think that other DCT's on the market and especially this AMG Speedshift transmission is even better, if you consider both sporty driving and comfortable cursing. The DCT's tend to be a bit bumpy once it comes to low speed gear changes, if you put the transmission in sport plus (M6) you really feel the gear change in a rough way. They all are on a high level, but I personally would prefer AMG Speedshift for Cruise and Track!
