I have saved this video to review when my Supernote arrived. I know I'm late to the game, but I've been going back and forth. At first I was sold I just wanted to the Remarkable 2. Then I saw some of it's limitations and decided I just want the biggest and the best. So I was almost about to buy the Tab Ultra C. But when I took a step back and watched a ton of Voja's videos and Kit's videos, I started to learn what I liked and what I didn't. I finally just placed my Supernote order and will definitely need this video soon! So excited!!!

isn't the difference with A5X and A5X2, that the latter will have the ability to choose on which Operating System you would like to run : Linux or Android ? Linux being more for software development on SN's functionality. But basically no major hardware change for A5X2 ... ?

I am going to buy a digital notebook. I have decided to go with Supernote. I am not technical, so I am very confused about all the different types. I understand they are coming out with Supernote A5x2 in Spring costing $413. Apparently, there is no information at the moment, but I have realised there is a Supernote A6x, which costs $500. This would suggest that the Supernote A6x is a superior product as it's more expensive. If you've got a minute, could you advise?
Thanks for your explanation. Still a question, do you know where I can find the Digest on the SuperNote? As far as I know they are also not synchronized with the cloud. Perhaps you know a way how to back-up them. What is your opinion about the fact that they are not in the cloud backup?

Q1: another + score mark for Supernote ! can the same backup technique be applied on Boox ? basically this should work on any brand device as long as you have the authorisation rights to export and delete files via WiFi or USB connection (?). Q2: was there any specific reason why you had the SN device not connected to WiFi ? or is this irrelevant ? maybe to avoid "sync" issues while on-line and making below operations ... ? Remark1: so basically your "markup"-backup file trumps every version on the SN when you replace your backup back. and there is the danger of backup-discipline ... suppose on week1 you have example.pdf where you made anotations on -> you make backup from original example.pdf and the example.pdf.mark files. on week2 you work further on example.pdf with anotations but you forgot to backup. on week3 your example.pdf is for some reason corrupted and you need to restore from backup ... meaning your work from week2 is lost as week1 version will perfectly restore *.pdf and *.pdf.mark file but the version from week1 correct ? Remark2: and this is a nice one ... basically you can create a template with the *.pdf.mark file and use that on your complete library of new *.pdf documents. suppose you create some graphics on your 1st page of a random *.pdf file, let's say a "colored" title bar which says "LIBRARY_Medical" and save that *.pdf.mark file. You create another "LIBRARY_Technical". Another "Library_Law" .... and so on. Then when you open for instance a new *.pdf document where the reading content has a "Technical" background; you just close the doc thus saving your first *.pdf.mark file of the new *.pdf document on your SN, but well before making any anotation and you make your *.pdf.mark - backup. Then replace that *pdf.mark back-up'd file with your "LIBRARY_Technical".pdf.mark file. When you open up the *.pdf technical doc again, you now have a "catalogue titel" on your *.pdf and you start creating your anotations while reading. It is just adding a layered template on every new *.pdf doc. Not an already anotated *.pdf doc because of above remark1, else you have overwritten all your anotations. a bit of a workarround but you can create your templated library if I understood your vid correctly ... 🙂
Voja, I have a copy of MDO 2023 yet somehow there is no Mark file associated with it. I don't know how I did that. Is it essential to have the Mark file and can I restore it? Thank you!

Are you close enough to them to guess if - and when - a Supernote A4 will appear? There are some - older - rumors and some reddit postings with a kind of roadmap but no new statements are available … Great platform but I‘m looking for the huge size A4… Papyr was my second choice but they disappeared . Thank you for watching! I did ask them, but I didn't get any official confirmation or hints of any sort, so I don't know anything really regarding that. It seems that they're focused mostly on improving the platform and offering the most out of the existing devices.
Hi, indeed, maybe you read also the SN device roadmap on SN_Redit ? I saw them mentioning A4X too. Currently holding my finger on the trigger to chose for either e-Paper tablet with functionalities or an internet Tablet like iPad Pro or Samsung S8. I would use the device predominantly for professional purposes, attending lots of meetings I find myself more distracted using keyboard than using handwritten text. Only problem is the mountain of papers you collect. In my company we use the full MS O-365 suite, so I especially am looking for a device which can integrate flawlessly notes into my OneNote, a device which provides a more A4 landscape than A5 which is good for notebook loggings but less optimal for making meeting notes , sketches and drawnings. And to top it off, could convert my handwritten text into digital text. I noticed SN is ticking quite some boxes ! Love the new screen-sharing option, also love the fact you don't need SN cloud to sync or backup your documents as proven by Voya now. I see you can install OneNote on SN (though I think it is a "light" version, not sure whether this is due to SN or due to the limitations of OneNote version on Android), haven't really found any YTvid yet demonstrating that workflow in detail and showing SN's capability here how you can integrate it with your PC's O365 OneNote version (be it Web version or Win10 version). I noticed that writing in OneNote is even a latency challenge for the new iPadPro's and Samsungs, so also not ideal, certainly not for the investment you make. Would prefer more to buy an SN A4X rather than iPad or Samsung, love the feeling of writing on e-Paper. As I am now experiencing e-ink note taking on my Kobo Elipsa, which I actually bought for e-reading . but then came Voya and Brandon and Kitt ... and they sucked me in to the pool of e-Paper tablets 👍😎
Unless I can create a new folder in root via a hardwired connection to my Mac I'm only left with *two real options **_[Notes and Documents]_** to sync to the cloud* which is rather awkward if I have a folder within those folders that hold sensitive data. Creating a folder in root to contain that data would allow me to sync everything else without a care. I'll have to pull out my cable and connect it all up to see if I can create a new folder in root, but some how I doubt I can else Supernote would have added that functionality. If so then I'm left with my sensitive data, but how am i going to back that up without pulling out the cable and hooking it all up which I detest? Is there a way of connecting my Supernote to my Mac over the local network? If I could, then it's just a matter of using my Mac's sync software to either back-up my sensitive folder in root or that failing, everything.
In your example where you applied your markup to another PDF file, do the page numbers need to be the same; what happens if they are not the same - are pages added or subtracted to the PDF you added the markup to?

I have been watching the scenario of this device for a while, and it is impressive. But... I just received an email showing how to use it to mirror; and they are using a Russian URL. Wow, no way would I connect my wi-fi to anything Russian, just asking for a hack. They need to change it to an American url.

Yes, you can use the Lan connection, if you swipe down from the top, and then choose the icon next to the WiFi icon.

The .notes file only knows which vectors to display on which page (number) of a document. It's not content aware in any way.

Unfortunately no, as their .notes file is hidden and inaccessible in a normal user way.

No, as it is simply a collection of vector data. You would need a dedicated program that does that, and I don't know of one.

Screen mirroring is done locally, not through any external URLs.
