Your eyes reflect so much wholesome simplicity, sweetness, and warmth. You bear yourself with dignity and grace. Your words are steeped in wisdom. Your heart shines in everything you do. I'm blessed to sit before you. I confess, I've wrestled with angels, my whole life, and none of this comes easily to me. I still wonder if I know Jesus or what anything means. His name was Friedrich Holderlin, and he was the philosopher Nietzsche's favorite poet, too: "Unendingly delightful, unspeakably sacred, is my friendship with one who has strayed into this impoverished, despiritualized, unorderly century of ours.
