Waste Connections - Brand New Autocar ACX/Leach Alpha-III Rear Loader

This was filmed a little over a month ago in October on one of its first days on route. It is one of 2 new rear loaders to slowly phase out some of our older 5000s, and I would imagine more could be on their way soon. This truck can be seen starting out early on a rural route up off Highway 41 in North County and then hitting some commercial stops in downtown Morro Bay.

Awesome video bro! The ACX pairs really well with the Alpha-III. It was really cool to see this truck on dumpsters and carts. Was really nice how the WC colors popped out in the fog. Excellent catch Eli!

Sick video dude, I remember you talking about these a while back. Super glad they decided to go with Leach as opposed to Heil. Is the other unit on residential yet or a different route? Too bad the older 5000s are beginning to be on their way out, hopefully you can track down some more! Nice to see them using rear loaders on commercial too, I thought it was all 520 Labries or even the older Bridgeport front loaders. Makes me wonder if any of the 5000s do routes like this too. Nice catch on this one! Hopefully they'll keep the truck looking this great. Did the driver say anything about how this and the 5000s compare? Wouldn't mind seeing more downtown collection if you get the chance

I can tell you from experience that the Heil Durapack 5000s a great rear loaders, but I’ll take a Leach 2r3 anyday of the week. After watching this video I would really like to try out the Alpha 3 now.
