That was a real treat to watch. You can tell he's done thousands and thousands of mounts, he did that so smooth and quick you'd swear he could do it in his sleep lol Awesome video
You took this to the right man....Every taxidermist has their own tricks of the trade...He has his and like he said it has worked for him for 20+ yrs. That is a Nice Muley to put on the wall...This behind the scenes of a taxidermist was awesome... Lookin Forward to what your channel is doing this summer...Hmmm, I wonder what fish is going on the wall hahaha.. Would love to see a behind the scene of a Trophy Fish Mount...Nice Video MulletMan you had me start to finish..
I am no taxidermist, but I would think you could mix the bondo in a plastic bag and cut the corner to squeeze it in the ear, like they do with cake icing.
i am a taxidermist down in Houston Texas and i personally use a butter knife to stuff bondo in ears but popsicle sticks work just fine too ( disposable) just throw them away when done like the paper plate he mixes the bondo on ( i personally use cardboard cuts from the boxes our taxidermy supplies are shipped in. the bag filler concept does work but after doing taxidermy you realize it will make a lot bigger mess, you will waste more material , and go through a few time consuming hoops that are just unnecessary
Ive been a taxidermist a very long time!! Worked at Cabelas Taxidermy for years with multiple World Champions!! Gotta say this guys work is ok, but he takes ALOT of shortcuts and has plenty of room to improve!
Interesting seeing what and how they do taxidermy stuff.. I'm that everyone has their own style. Give an idea as too how to cut when skinning an animal. Put dude info for ppl interested.
It takes along time to get an animal taxidermy I shot a huge pig over a year ago monster tusks an the guy that does mine here in cali is booked for 4 years crazy stuff bass seem to take longer though pretty cool stuff u got to hunt delporto canyon in central California dude biggest wild pigs I've ever seen
Bondo ears is VERY old school!!! The neck on ur deer could have been much bigger!!!! Looks too small! And the brisket area where the legs r, color change should b inside center line in front leg line, NOT 2 to 3 inches up outside the leg !!!
That man is a true craftsman/ artist. Beautiful Muley.

Awesome video! Love these taxidermy ones,so much work and perfection goes into these things. There’s a reason they call it an art.

My dad is a taxidermist and I am a second generation taxidermist. Love the videos
A true craftsman at work. Great idea for a video. Always wondered about this process. No wonder it’s expensive to have a mount done. 👍
You sir are an absolute artist. Excellent job!
Awesome to see a true pro at work
I really enjoyed this video. This is the first time that I saw a deer being mounted for the wall. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Bad ass vid!
Whenever I can start hunting, I’m definitely gonna mount my first of each animal. I can’t wait
A curved cobbler needle works well and you don’t need pliers

Hair patterns are wrong also!
Just think if you was his Wife, dreading to go to sleep every night.
His.... fingernails.....
hack
Sloppy work
Does this guy even compete with his work? Hair patterns and Anatomy is way way off. I’d get a better taxidermist for your money.
No no no no stop your fuckin up that man's deer
Ugly deer not good needs to learn.
