Doesn’t care about the sweat, doesn’t care about it interfering with the shot (for once 😂) and is just there for his best mate. Funny how big size-wise Laurence actually looks in shot compared to Geordie, almost a metaphor for how grief doesn’t discriminate no matter how tough or strong you are! We need more of this kind of behaviour among men to be honest, need to be open with eachother, let our emotions out a bit every so often otherwise it just builds up and cripples us. We can keep up appearances and keep up the facade and barriers with everyone else and in life, but when it comes to your best mates we should feel like we can chat openly and honestly with eachother. Obviously not crying every minute because it would just get a bit much, but when you're feeling vulnerable and in need of release, be open with your brothers. Suicide is one of Men's biggest killers, it's on us to talk more about it.

True Geordie, I would like to inform you that this video moved me in ways to see the way you felt about your mother really helped me open my eyes to my world, When I was 15 my mum died of an accidental drug over dose and I was hurting but I had my younger siblings to be strong for I felt I couldn't allow myself to let it go and mate I am telling you I cried with you when you were talking about your mother I used to feel pain and hurt and I thought I could never forgive my mum for what she did to us but you made me think of the things she did to make me the person I am today and I truly thank you for this and also I started going to my local boxing gym since your last video when I started I was 120kgs and I have continued to go anytime I can and I am currently 111kgs and I thank you for that. You are a true legend! much love from Australia big man

Seeing Brian cry like that, I gained so much more respect. You dont see enough men cry because its nit considered masculine. Seeing a man let those emotions out, that's a brave and very respectful thing. Well done lad. This is truly inspiring!!

Mate, as a complete stranger on the internet I have to say I have never been more proud of someone saying "I miss my mum." You're an inspiration and a game changer by sharing this with so much of your heart on your sleeve. To do this is in the context of boxing too, to show that you can have an outpouring of raw emotion, and still get up and go another round, so proud of you mate!

Brian’s shown himself at his strongest here, by showing us him at his weakest. I truly hope no one is cowardly enough to talk about such a transparent man in a negative way. On a side note, I’ve done a bit of boxing and I’m a pretty fit guy and I was gassed out in 2/3 rounds I can only imagine what it’s like for Brian at over 100kgs. Keep going, keep getting stronger inside and becoming a better boxer💪

I've been doing martial arts since I was 5 and largely due to covid, but also lack of motivation, I've taken my foot off the peddle and lost a lot of interest. Seeing Brian go through everything, the frustration, the excitement, that feeling when you're exhausted beyond belief but your mind is the sharpest and most focused it's ever been, the tears, the raw emotion, all of it. It's all really reminded me how happy fighting makes me. next time I have the chance I'm going to have a rebuild of my own and I honestly owe it to you for resurfacing these emotions I kinda thought I'd lost. so if this ever reaches you I just want to say thank you Brian, it means more than I can tell you

I think this is the first ever UA-cam comment I’ve left. I lost my dad in June very unexpectedly, there is not a single day I don’t think about him and your perseverance and passion gives me hope for the future. He was my hero and he teaches me lessons everyday even though he isn’t here anymore. One thing I can say for sure is, your mum would be proud of the man you are today. That’s my hope for me and my dad 💙

True Geordie! I love the raw emotion. It made me feel normal. I recently joined the police force and it was my 4th day of college, and I went for a run that same evening like I always try to do, and I was half way through a tough 5k and for some reason I started crying. Really sobbing like a baby, and it’s because I was proud of myself, and I also thought about those closest to me who made me the person I am today. Tough times, good times, my mother has always been there for me. Going through tough and trying times and giving it your all will bring out raw emotions. With you Brian. Men will cry sometimes. It’s okay 🙌🏻❤️ rest in piece to your mother, she would be so proud of you.

I haven’t felt this emotional in a long time, almost a ‘numb’ feeling up until I’ve saw this video, your story about your mum, and everything she did and supported u, reminds me of every single moment I shared with my grandad up until we lost him back in 2018. I wanted to say a massive thank you, to sharing your story to not only myself but touching so many others and reminding them of what they have. Keep striving for what u want to achieve. Big love & respect to u
