I can't believe NBC lost World Series tapes. "Hey John, where should I put these World Series tapes?" "Just put 'em anywhere. It's time for lunch. Let's go. I'm hungry."
They would have had to record them on video tape so maybe they did not record the game in the first place. Where are all the videos of other World Series games from the early 1960's and other years? There were no tapes to lose because they did not have the intelligence to preserve meaning record the game. I don't know how they preserved the 1969 Mets World Series, somebody had a brain to do that.
I think Curt Gowdy misunderstood the Mets fans applauding Mike Andrews. They were thanking him for making 2 critical errors in game 2 and wanted an emotionally shaky infielder on the A's.
....if not for a very rare Felix Millan error in game 1 or and even rarer Jerry Grote passed ball in game 3...the Mets are World Champions in 5 games! oh the irony '-)
the graphic should read "bottom of the 2nd" not the "1st". but aside from that minor error the rest is accurate.
Great to see the Mets in this period. The Tom Seaver . Jerry Koosemen era. As a kid .my favorite time to be a Met fan
This is excellent thank you for posting made my quarantine be safe
Awesome! Keep up the good work!!

you're up by 2 runs in the bottom of the 8th and you let the pitcher hit so he can close out the 9th. how the game has changed.
@Ted Harrington ...and with a runner in scoring position.

Ted Harrington Me too. Simple and fun
The A's team song should have been Why Can't We Be Friends?
