+NotOnlySelfLover they aren't slow while moving but yes around melbourne like alot of cities they stop every few hundred meters at times stopping at stations, other stations can be more then 2km apart and they get up to pretty high speeds for a suburban train
Have you ever rode a train on the Mernda line
I have it’s a very long ride
So do the trains in Melbourne act like standard commuter trains on the outskirts and as rapid transit (subway) in the centre?
Can you go to Epping station
Who'd want to??????
Aren't these trains somewhat slow? I heard they stop every 500 - 1000 meters...

+Traintropilus Comeng and Siemens trains are at close to same speed while the X' Trapolis trains accelerate a lot quicker
They only stop on stations not in the middle of the track
Good
Let me get you an Example: Williams Landing -> Hoppers Crossing
this an older model train the Comeng
it will be re placed next year
this an older model train the Comeng

***** So are these particular trains (the one in this video) will be no more after 2021, sorry, just want to clarify.
Fast forward to 2019 and you are so wrong! The good ol' Comeng's are still running as good as ever. Only 12 carriages out due to damage.
