Hello, I am a foreigner and I love English culture, I respect the British army. I wanted to ask what the name of the march they play is called. If anyone can inform me, thank you
'Oh Dearie ,dearie me' Is this the best the Coldstream have to offer? Vera Lynn sang 'The Long and the short and the tall'. Even in my day on parade grounds, in less well 'prestigious' Military serving, we were able to turn out on a Sunday Morn after quaffing ale, night before and put this shower to shame. Always the Tallest at each end, then graduate with different heights to 'Blend' the parade. Bearskins all over the place, some more 'misshapen' than others, some out of sync. Hope they are better serving soldiers than Ceremonial, it's a sh*t shower and embarrassing, will have to check out the 'Grenadiers'. Thanks 'Charlie'!
@georggearmani5867 Completely understandable. As a serving Coldstreamer, I do find it embarrassing. However, the bearkins that get issued now are like this. You have to be generally lucky to get a proper bearskin, and the good ones get taken by the NCO's. The height requirement was removed because of the army's low numbers, so the ranks don't look as flush as they should. The fitness is still a graft, but has dramatically changed and become easier. Those who look unfit, are probably still unfit, but in while training, they get passed through just because the Guards need more soldiers. Just the way it is.
@@apoc5566question. The escort standing to our right of the colour bearer at the 10:31 time stamp is he an NCO? To me, his bearskin is perfect as well as the colour bearer’s bearskin and I see a few others that look great
