Watching your videos after listening to my morning hallow app line up (IYKYK) with Christmas music in the background and coffee in hand is the perfect soft entrance to my day. Thanks for sharing a peek into your traditions. Have the Merriest Christmas! ✝️🎄

Awwww that little shot of your baby peeping through your coat at the Christmas tree lot was soooooo adorable!!
This year we started 2 traditions. We checked out 25 Christmas books from the library to (hopefully but not practically 😅) read one a night. And also a family Christmas movie every Sunday evening.

I love your decorating, enjoy your Christmas. I did a lot of Christmas decorating when my son was a baby, toddler. He is 12 years old now and he didn't even help me decorate it last year. I know what u mean by having your own decorations that u used at your parents house. We use to make our own decorations when we were little, I actually did that with my son when he was little, we have also made cards and biscuits ( we actually still do that ) . So that is one tradition we still have. Thanks great video!!!!!!

It’s so nice to see a Christmas tree decorated with collected ornaments that have some sentimental significance! Too many people have been using the same “trendy” ornaments and trying to create a “designer” tree that they all end up looking the same. Your home is warm and inviting and your children will grow up with a true sense of what the Christmas season is really about. Blessings and Happy Holidays!

Garlands and bows describe my home as well. One thing we do is decorate very slowly so that the tree is only fully decorated on Christmas day. Then we enjoy it for the 12 days of Christmas. We like to keep Advent and the 12 days of Christmas with different sets of traditions. It makes for a very fulfilling experience with children.

I laughed out really loud when you said “it’s the season to slow down😅😂🤣. I’m like what? In what world is Christmas a time to slow down! I hope you read this in “good fun” because it is meant to be. I don’t know a soul who isn’t as busy as ever trying to manage their households, decorating, baking, shopping, wrapping, cooking, freezing etc.. it’s a hectic time of year for most. If you can actually slow down, then good for you. Merry Christmas 🎄

It’s the absolute best time to savor and slow down! I find being prepared before Thanksgiving helps to savor both Thanksgiving and Christmas ❤

What a cozy video, thanks for sharing your traditions. My family is now scattered throughout the US and overseas in Spain, so our traditions have had to evolve. We call each other on Christmas Eve for long chats.
Merry Christmas🎄to everyone and a Happy New Year! 🎆

One favorite tradition is giving everyone special chocolates, new jammies, and a new book to open on Christmas Eve. One year I decided to switch it up and give everyone slippers instead of jammies. Oh. My. Word. Did not go over well! Another favorite tradition is reading Luke's account of Jesus' birth before opening our presents. I have an advent book from back when my boys were little that we would read from every night. Now that they are grown, we just pass it around taking turns reading it on Christmas morning.

Been there plenty of times with recipes gone wrong. It does look like they just over whipped. I have also found that adding the hot sugar mixture slowly kind of helps things come together as well. Beautiful video. Love your home, from one cottage dweller to another!

Yes! We make baked French toast! You prep it the night before and then you just have to throw it in the oven that morning. It's so easy and delicious!

You just whipped the marshmallow mixture too long! I find it takes 5-6 minutes, and you have to really be right there that last minute as it can get over whipped super quick. Perfect consistency is when it’s nicely whipped and it slowly drips off the beater. I make mine with maple syrup! 1 c water with 3 tbsp gelatin, allow to bloom and then heat on the stove, once liquid, add 1/2 c maple syrup and 2 tsp vanilla extract. Once warm, add to your kitchen aid mixture and mix on the highest setting for 5-6 minutes. Longer if the consistency isn’t quite right. But only by 30 seconds to a minute at a time. I always add beetroot powder to mine to make them pink! And during Christmas, I use a mini gingerbread cookie cutter and cut out little gingerbread marshmallows 🥰
