- GOLD RECOVERY 101
Flat screens are commonly thrown out with broken screens and are easy to find! Every flat screen has a PCB inside that contains gold plating!!! Easy and fun to do with a few little extras like copper, aluminum, and brass!

Nice video bro. My experience is that you can very rarely just pop those flat screen tv boards out and that they always have those annoying little screws. I know you weren't that interested in the main screen and backing but all this stuff adds up too. The steel pays the gas money, the aluminium puts money in your pocket and the copper and brass pay the bills. The gold and silver puts money in the savings account 😂

QUESTION: How do you recover the gold on those boards ?
@@christianpolytechnique7404 it's quite easy, first remove all of the components using either a chisel or a heat gun and chisel which is his I do it. Also any stickers or tape. After all the parts are removed you put the board into AP (acid peroxide) solution, which is just muriatic acid with hydrogen peroxide in it and you let it soak for a few days. Preferably with some kind of air bubbler but stirring often will also work. The AP will dissolve the copper under the gold plating and the gold flakes will float free. You can use a spray bottle with water for any stubborn plating that didn't come off on its own.
@@christianpolytechnique7404 THANKS FOR WATCHING by the way!
@@ScrapDaddy365 thanks for the detailed information
@christianpolytechnique7404 no problem!
You tackle absolutely the same type of items I run across all the time...yes they don't have that big allure of a 50 pound copper motor.....but they are easy and it all adds up....that flat plate is Aluminum.....I pick up 10-15 flats a week....no one wants them here.....got pickle buckets of g fingers.....fortunately my Trash dump takes all the plastic etc.....at this time......can't wait till.you get in to simple gold finger removal and recovery.....CajunSrapper
@@CajunScrapper-x1b I love it man, I could do that stuff all day!!! I'm just getting started with making videos and tutorials, I plan to do some quick recovery and refining videos on the days to come!
