- The wise men are directed by a star to Jesus.
Matthew 2:1-2, 11-15
1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judæa in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.
13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.
14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:
15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

Even as a child they new him as the savior through discernment and wisdom what makes great leaders
Think of the faith these men had to have in order to travel whatever distance they came on the hope that the prophecies were true about the savior of the world and the star that would shine as a sign of his birth.

Used this video today in my EM Seminary classes. Had the students write in their journals their own thoughts and narrative. Asked them to record how they can be more like the Wise men and what gift of obedience and agency they will give to the Savior. Very effective lesson. You can feel the Spirit as you watch this video. We cannot have someone else find the Savior for us, and once we have found Him, let us not return to Herod, but go another way to return to our (Heavenly) Home. #NTLesson6 #Matthew2

I often wondered how Joseph, might have felt as he witnessed all this marvelous moments, so is Mary.
Cristian Perez in my observation of the scriptures, I notice it says a lot, and Mary kept these things in her heart. I assume that means these little stories were shared by her to the prophets writing the scriptures account.
Imagine how they felt when they held the lord as a child in their arms..
