H. Ebbeson Jr My #1 is a Gibson LP with a 60's style neck. The H44's neck is more like a 50's style neck. Definitely chunkier then the Gibson. The width of the neck is about the same, at least it feels that way. I have smaller hands, but I have no problem playing the H44. In fact I like the difference between my LP and the H44. H. Ebbeson Jr Glad to help. The Bobkat does look cool. I was just on the Eastwood site and they have a Bobcat in black with a gold guard. By the way the H44 has a 24.75 scale and the Bobkat has a 25.5 scale. Either one looks like a good buy.
