Some aspects of the game I quite like, although certain elements remind me of very old and dated football games, almost like the FIFA titles from the PS2 or early PS3 era. That said, it also brings back good memories of the older PES Mobile games, which I absolutely loved and used to play for hours every day, before they transitioned to eFootball. This game feels much less realistic, with robotic and sharp movements, as someone else pointed out. However, there’s a fun quality to it because you have a stronger sense of control due to the quick response to button commands. Ultra-realism, in my opinion, can often take the fun out of games. When developers aim for realism, it’s based on their interpretation of what realistic gameplay should be, which often leads to huge restrictions, limitations, and inconsistencies. For instance, players might suddenly fail simple passes, or the game introduces moments where your opponent, two goals down, scores and then suddenly seems unstoppable, equalising in a way that feels preordained. Another issue with the FIFA, now EAFC games, is how heavily they seem programmed to push online game modes. This almost forces players into a pay-to-win system. While these games boast about their realism, they’re not particularly realistic, for example seeing female players overpowering top-level men’s players in ways that feel utterly implausible. I think game developers should reconsider their approach to realism. They need to dial it back and focus on making the games fun again, giving players more control, much like the classics did.
Why are you crying about other games? Every game has its own special touch and that's why they are played, don't try to compare each one has its own mechanics
FIFA 2.0, the sharp unnatural turns, the speed of the ball... nothing wrong with that as well I mean it's a video game. Just don't think I'd be leaving eSports PES for it but I do play FIFA as well when I feel like something different because it's just a fun game and have to remember it's been intentionally made to be like that. So I'll give this a try when it comes to PC. Thanks for posting, felt annoyed when other reviewers were talking over the game.
It's like a fifa 14, they have similar mechanics,Pes is not very realistic either, the only good thing is its movement engine which is based on simulation and is not arcade.
@@Elpachi-77 i remember once i tried fifa 13 in 2013, the graphic were horrible and the gameplay as well, i guess it improved, but before pes 2024 was released , pes had as son to fifa, but ig is now their time, anyway i still have fun playing to efootball
* Graphics: FIFA 17. Looks a lot like how i remembered FIFA 17, but with less licences and atmospheric feel; it was expectional in 16/17, it's just average now... Graphics doesn't have to be spectacular though as long as the gameplay is, especially given it's their first entry, and they will obviously improve on the graphics over time. * Gameplay: Well, it's not going to make me switch from EAFC anytime soon, the gameplay still looks unpolished, and that's saying something coming from an EAFC player... There is one very good thing i noticed though, the player speed pacing is perfect, no player is sprinting like a Formula 1, and the other like a Minivan; the speed pacing is very well balanced. Overall, for a first attempt and entry from a small development team, this is very good... They just have to be dedicated into making it a lot more better over time; and if they do that, they just might have the future No. 1 Football game at their hands.
@abcdefgh-hy9op that's not an excuse. You can't release a game that looks like it's 10 years old and expect people to lock in. People don't care how many titles you've released, if your game doesn't match/surpass their current games they'll never switch. Devs must be willing to go up and beyond with their game if they want it to succeed. Games like Wukong have proven that it's not just about the experience.
For Early Version that is good game, but still lot to improve, maybe in future there is several Patch or DLC to make gameplay more smooth and more natural
I hope this game provide national teams, world cups, and all continental cups. There are still people that love to play national teams offline with friends rather than online matches where no people beside and I also hope it has career mode as Manager that can manage Clubs and National Teams as well
Many bad comments... but for me there are opportunities on this... I really like FIFA/EAFC, but they are too much pay to win for my taste, I dropped the Ultimate Team and now I play only the Pro Clubs from time to time, handycap gets me crazy, menus are extremely laggy, confuse and bugs everywhere. So, better graphics, many tweaks, and licensed clubs/players are secondary... the experience is what counts in the end... Allejo GOAT!!!
I want to just let you know - I am not sure if you will see this, but I will be using this gameplay for one of my videos :) Will credit in description of course - Thank you for uploading this
Obviously they will it improve it but the biggest issue I see is the AI defenders don't run back at all. So it just ends up with one long ball and you're in. Zero midfield battle just a basketball game
Mieldfield Battle was best in PS2 Games though, after that all games focus more on graphics and signatures of top players and keep forgetting mieldfield battle
This game looks like a combination of efootball and eafc, the image still looks stiff and the modes are still few, that's normal because the game has just been released.
I grew up playing PES on the ps1/ps2 and although Fifa is okay it's never quite done it for me. Good that there is another developer having a go and looks half decent for a free game, but will take years to challenge I guess. I think in terms of realism, fun, the best footie game is still like PES6 which is decades old. With all the developments in graphics etc that is a shame. Sometimes less is more with the old PES games they had great player individuality, like you knew you were running with Roberto Carlos, you knew when you took a shot with Batistuta 😂...and then you try master league with the defaults and some players you would need to give them a really good chance or they put it wide. It could be a challenge, but was also realistic and fun. I'd still go back to that for a proper footie game tbh.
It's good to know this, so that football games become more competitive so that it will be a competition to be better. Rather than just a duopoly of the two giants Konami and EA, so that both feel comfortable and ultimately have lack of development.
Hmmm Not really there for me but after playing fifa for so long any other gameplay nd mechanics feels musty but heyyy it might get better in the future 🤷♀️
Unfortunately this is quite underwhelming... I was hoping for a different, upgraded experience that FIFA/FC has been failing to deliver for a decade or so.
i udnerstande veryone is sick of EA, me included, but this does not look like step forward. PES 2021 still owns all football simulations. this looks like something from 10+ years ago. so arcadic its repulsive. passing from impossible angles, no physics, acceleration with the speed of light... however desperate I am to have a good football simulation once again, THIS IS STILL NOT IT but I am rooting for the UFL to make it happen. keep it up!
could one day be a good game but it feels old and dated from this video. The commentary needs a massive overhaul and the gameplay reminds me of 7+ years ago in terms of the movement, passing and whatnot. It is refreshing to see a new title because FIFA/EAFC is complete and utter crap, however i feel that its not quite where it needs to be in order to compete just yet
You can see its an UE game just by how unsmooth the game is, they need to prioritize fps instead of 4k, players movements are not impressive, overall its just another f2p e-football clone
It is painful to watch. Still, unfortunatelly, the eFootball remains the closest thing to real football experience. Too bad the pay-to-win model and the scripting is killing it.
That commentary is making me projectile vomit all over my living room. Who is gonna clean this up? UFL won’t will they? Ridiculous. 0/10 will not be buying
Nothing can give the excitement of old pes versions
