At this point this show is basically "Young Georgie", and I couldn't be more satisfied.

Youre like indoctrainted sheep on a Karen leash. The Georgie story is simply hollyweird shoving another talentless actress up our arse. Big Bang began funny then they brought in the idiot wahmen and ruined it. Why would this show be any different?

The tricky part is figuring how closely to the Big Bang Theory story line they want to keep it. Big Sheldon painted a different picture of things in some areas.

LOL. and yes $$$$$. Great to see Mandy light up and smile, hugging Georgie I love Georgie!! He, Meemaw and Missy are my favorites. Followed by the dad, Sheldon and Mary. In TBBT Mary is much more like able and funny I wish they would have made Mary funny in YS.

Mee-maw is such a kind woman when she sees somebody genuinely in need, like Georgie's pregnant girlfriend, Mandy. The show is getting mighty interesting.
Meemaw wasn't too sweet on Amy when they first met. Ironic that in TBBT no real effort was made to imply much of a relationship at all between Meemaw & Georgie either that I recall.
Sheldon is one dimensional. And a scientists zzzz Big Sheldon was surrounded by even more shallow science nerds
Them adopting Mandy is the sweetest, the family is expanding in more ways than one

Honestly, I'm amazed at how he's playing the relationship with Mandy,. Not just showing that he's there for the long haul, but more that he's playing hard to get so that she's discovering reasons why he'd be a good husband\father. Based on everything else he's shown I honestly didn't think he had that in his repertoire (the playing hard to get--he's always come across as fairly responsible).
Glad they decided to tell Mandy about the casino. Better for her to know that Connie and Georgie are running an illegal gambling operation than for her to think that they’re selling drugs.
I'd say it's better for her to know the truth, than more lies. Georgie almost f'd up big time again.

In my opinion Emily Osment's character Mandy is a real asset to the show. I like how the show runners introduce new characters just at the right time that keeps the story lines fresh and flowing smoothly. Kind of like the same formula they used on TBBT and why it was so popular and lasted so long. Kuddo's to the entire production company. I can see myself watching for a long time.

@@epbrown01 Georgie is a responsible and respectful of his Meemaw. He is trying very hard to prove to himself and to everyone, he takes his fatherhood and family including Mandy seriously.
How many guys today would have skipped on their responsibilities to score with a girl?
Mandy had been testing him to the limit and he does not complain. Love Georgie!! ❤️

She didn't say she "loved" him. She was just grateful to know that there was going to be enough money to make sure their child had a decent life. Of course she'd be happy about that. She was probably stressed AF thinking about how she was going to have to support a child with no insurance, a job as a waitress, and an idiot teenager who she thought just worked part time at a laundromat his grandmother owned. This suddenly makes raising their kid MUCH less stressful...
Mandy is my favorite character now.
The show gotten a lot more interesting with less of Sheldon.

@@sammysalgado1475 The Simpsons was originally a show focused on Bart, but the writers soon discovered that a schoolkid as main character doesn't leave you with a lot of story options, so they started to focus on Homer.
For similar reasons, we're seeing more of George and Georgie. Sheldon being an annoying kid will only go so far.

I know that Sheldon is the titular character of the show but I am happy they are focusing more on the other characters. I feel his character is becoming quite stale and frankly exhausting, similar to BBT.

Do you have any idea how expensive it is to raise a child? Mandy already lost her apartment and has to stay in a room with Georgie’s grandmother. There’s nothing wrong with being happy that her child will NOT grow up as poor as she thought.

She seems to truly like Georgie, but getting pregnant by a broke teen had her worried about raising her child in poverty. Now she's learning that things aren't as bleak. He's shown he's willing to help (as has Connie), and now he's shown he's got the ability to as well.
They need to fire this director who dosnt want this show to tie into the Big Bang theory and check lore needs to bring in someone eles who will bring this show back to where it needs to be

So funny, my wife and I owned a laundromat with a video store in it. We watched Blockbuster and Movie Gallery come and go. Made a very good living out of it.

The fact that they don’t mention Georgie’s kid in Big Bang Theory either makes me believe Mandy leaves with the baby OR she loses the baby. Unless the writers want to figure out some random way around it by saying “Georgie likes to keep his family private” or whatever lie lol

Well, Sheldon didn't talk to Georgie until he got married and he's not a very nurturing person so it makes sense that Constance wasn't really a part of his life.
Georgie mentions him having a baby to take care of when he’s talking to Sheldon about getting everything he wants.
This show is beginning to give TBBT a run for it's money.

A) Her lie about her age didn't run the risk of making him a felon, whereas his did.
B) It's not "gold-digging" to be happy that there is enough money to give your unborn child a decent life when previously you thought you were going to have to support them on a waitress job and minimal child support payments, you absolute tool...
