Thanks for doing this; still a valuable video for those entering the NV world. I believe what you have as the Prototype is now found as the Rhino II. Nice score on that early one.
Can you show how to mount a j-arm on the rhino mount I'm having trouble with mine
How would I mount a monocular nod? It seems like I would need a secondary separate mount to fit on to the helmet mounts.
Will these mounts attach to any kind of nvgs?
Do you know if that noritos rhino mount work on a Mum PVS 14 Nivisys mum 14?
Do you need a Dovetail Jarm for the Wilcox to work?
does the rhino work for Ford Lens Night vision
Are there videos out there on how to attach PVS NODs to the Rhino mount?
Yes
Is the one in AOR1 camo a Mich 2001 and the one to its left from viewer's point of view an FAST Opscore?
They are both maritimes.
HOW does the bracket attach to the shroud?? is it screwed on or is it clicked into place? Why is it not one video about fast helmets explains how to attach the bracket to the shroud? do you think no one ever needs to know this? I need to know because i bought one and i want to know if i need to order other parts for it. I wish just ONE person would show the whole process not just how to adjust the thing once its already on it.
Awesome review. Very informative. You answered most of my questions and some that I didn't even know I had. I just purchased a Armasight Spark. How are you mounting it to helmet? Whats your thoughts on fake helmets, shouds and mounts from china? Thank you
I should have a video up soon on how to do so. I had to re record it as I got a new camera and it should come out better now. If you are running NODS, you MUST get a real arm and shroud, anything chinese stuff will either break, or have so much wobble they are useless. Fake helmets are ok if you are on a budget, but if you go fake I would suggest going ballistic, as they tend to have a little bit more care into making them, so they turn out better.
@@LightAfterNightLAN I have the Anvis 9. I do have the banana clips and mounts for mounting them on a flight helmet. I was wondering if you knew of an adapter to mount them on standard helmet. That SAM mount is expensive and I'd hate to buy it when I already have mounts.
Hi! In which of those mount’s can I mount my GPNVG-18?
Usually you can use an Wilcox Mount
my big gripe with the rhino w/ bayonet jarm is that the wobble is pretty bad. is there less wobble with the new prototype mount w/ bayonet jarm?
Well your still going to get some wobble due to the bayonet mount interface. Thats why you see most bino systems have a dovetail as opposed to a bayonet. But yes, there is less wobble on it, but its still there.
i figured. dovetail arms are just so expensive right now. thanks for the reply
i cant find any dovetail adaptors like you talked about though. i know they take AKA2 dovetail adaptors but cant find that piece for sale anywhere
Do you need a norotos shroud to use the norotos tatm?
+Alex Vazquez No, however you will need an adapter plate.
+LightAfterNight thanks man!
Do all these mounts take the standard USGI J Arm?
Do you see any benefit in different shrouds or are they all pretty much the same?
+Rusty Shackleford I prefer wilcox shrouds with wilcox mounts and norotos shrouds with norotos mounts.
are norotos mounts interchangable with wilcox ops core etc?
Rusty Shackleford
yes, if you have a wilcox arm, it should work with norotos universal shroud.
So is it me, or is the rhino mount really hard to put up and down.. Like really heavy spring retention.. This guys seemed pretty tough too, but idk mine aeemes unnecessarily hard to go up and down.. Any idea how to adjust this at all? Please..
Jeremiah Johnson that is so the nvg is held up or in place more secure.
it's much easier when it's on the helmet. You get more leverage, instead of holding one end REALLY close to the hinge. Don't be fooled, the Rhino has been known to get knocked out of its stowage detent and slam the goggle down in front of the wearer's face unexpectedly.
Why do you have so many helmets? Haha those Wilcox mounts are expensive bro!
Because boogaloo
You’re not in the military are you?
do all of these work with the spark core rig you made?
All of them that use a dovetail.
So all these rigs accept the dovetail system? sorry man I'm new to this.
Are these mounts real or airsoft replica? If it’s all real the only thing I can say is WOW! You have lots of money to burn. Give me some bro!
