@@jaxxh6529Yeah, the 4K reasoning was complete bullshit. You'd have to be a complete idiot to believe it. It doesn't even make sense if you remotely understand how video output and scaling works. They could have made it run in 1080p internally, exactly the same as the Switch version and the PS4 would do the upscaling on a system level. In fact, most games on PS4 do the exact same thing.

About that Lunar 1 DID get a PSP remake both in the USA and in Japan but it sold so POORLY that Eternal Blue never got the same PSP remake treatment.

I love the both Grandia games since my childhood! It's great that the HD Collection will now be available on PS4 and even on retail. My big dream is to see a announcement for Grandia 4.
I still wish it had an option to disable that blur filter on Grandia 1's pixel art, but I'm happy about this either way.

Well, it's about time - glad to see you listened to gamers everywhere, Gungho! The page isn't even officially up for pre-order on the Xbox store, but I found it by searching and already wishlisted. Can't wait! I actually fired up Blue Dragon recently half because I wanted to get going with a charming JRPG for the Springtime, and half because of Akira Toriyama's passing - I *100% guarantee* I will be playing through Grandia HD Collection on my Xbox as one of my springtime RPGs now! Keep the remasters coming! Heck, revive the series with a new entry if you can find a good developer! Right now, I'm just happy to see you guys do this 😄
Amazing! Grandia 1 is one of my favorite games of all time! Can't wait to reunite with Justin and Feena. I'll buy the the physical edition from LRG. Please release more JRPGs for the PS4/5. I'd buy them all!

Yes!! Thank you GungHo! I've been waiting for 5 years for this, to get a Ps4 release of the HD Collection as these are some of my favorite jrpg's of all time! And I cannot wait to play them again! Now all we need is Grandia Xtreme and Grandia III to get the HD Collection treatment. I hope it does happen someday.

That would have been phenomenal since it's my favorite one! It was mind blowing at the time. The best graphics I ever seen. Looked like a PS3 game to me. Probably the best turn based combat system ever to! Really never understood why more turn based RPG don't do the Grandia style combat system...

While I've already enjoyed the collection on Switch, I wonder why Xtreme is still the only Grandia without any kind of port.
Usually has to do with the obvious licensing issues that plague many older titles from being re-released.
@@PJ-sv4iw Grandia III is also technically an older title by that logic, yet it got released on PSN, and it's the stinker of the series. I wonder if they possibly lost the original source code for it.
Really great to see this come to psn, Grandia is a very uderrated series. I don't want to sound ungrateful but it would really great if Xtreme and 3 also get ported at some point. In this age of increasing live service games you can never have too many regular single player rpgs / jrpgs.
You guys should consider a new grandia game too maybe or a remake of the first game, would LOVE to hear Iwadare's music in an actual grandia game again.
Hope NIS takes notice and brings those NIS classic collections volume 1,2 and 3 to Playstation... 😢 And make a 4th one

When are you updating the game with an option that removes the blur filter? The original version's pixelated character models looked beautiful. I played the game for 25 hours and had to put it on hold. It's such a fun game, but the character models look disgusting.
I could've just skipped it and jumped straight to Grandia II, but I don't wanna have to do that. GET IT TOGETHER!!!!!

I'm playing Grandia II on Xbox and it keeps crashing. Can you guys fix this? Whenever I defeat a monster there is a chance that it will crash. I really like this game but the frequent crashes make me very angry.😀

Hi. i have a serious request! Got Grandia HD Collection yesterday and boy...Grandia 2 REALLY need a lot of fixes! Lag, stuttering, , some magic light like Burn is terrible, some text box is out of sync. Defeat an enemy 2 stuttering. Return to the level the game freeze for a second then returns. Please fix this! Grandia 2 is such an amazing game and deserve better! For the old and new players! I know you can do it! the first Grandia is way better. i see people complain about the filter, but for me works like a charm! I played the original ps1 version on ps3 and ps4a dn i prefer the filter. Please! Fix Grandia 2

The smoothed-out sprites look ugly. An option to play with the normal sprites would be nice.
It won't. From all accounts, this will be the exact same port from the Switch version, which after a few patches, still is riddled with bugs and audio/sound delays.

No love for Grandia 3 :(. It did have the weakest story, but that doesn’t mean it was bad, and it had the best gameplay of the series.
