I went with an SOK 206 ah 400w of panels victron smart solar 150/100 Would like to upgrade to some better quality panels, but this has been running my whole shack with the exception of the hf amplifier. No issues in the last 4 years. Use renogy and victron shunts. Also have 100ah litime, 40 and 9 ah batts from bioenno. No problems with any thus far. The litime is a quality battery.
Robert KD4YDC here... Ok. You have me thinking. So what are you doing to keep these charged up? Are you charging while operating? I keep getting some of the used solar panels popping up on FB marketplace for cheap... i.e. why I said you have me thinking. And the antenna disconnect, I may have the parts to make that. Especially since I operate barefoot or QRP here in the shack (lighter duty relay). You may have just cost me some money... thanks ;-)
I keep the noco charger on them yeah. It'll charge while using. I plan to run them without the charger connected periodically to give them some usage too
@@WD4DAN Nice video, thanks! I use Power Queen 100 AH batts. One is always connected to radios, ect. and the other is there as a back-up. I charge the batts as needed either by the grid or panels w/ solar controller. Because of this system I put my power supplies into storage.
...thanks for this clear upgrade!...plan to do the same with two Redodo 50Ah Pro batteries. 73!

Awesome setup! I've been considering a solar panel or two. And same here now, only things on wall power now is the amp and computer stuff.
I can vouch for the Redodo 100ah. Excellent battery and very reasonable price. Thanks for sharing, Dan. 73
@N4AAJ I have the 100ah mini version in my pota battery box. Been really happy with redodo
@WD4DAN Nice! Sounds like a sweet setup.
