Mike makes an interesting point regarding defense. It's almost a completely different game from what we saw as young men 30-40 years ago with all these rule changes: that temper defense and promote offense.
Mike is always such an amazing listen. Personally, this Week 2 game is a must-win against a rebuilding team with an entirely new coaching staff. Saleh and Hackett deserve to be fired on the spot and left in Nashville if they do not come out of that with a win.
This giants season reminds me of 2021 when the Joe judge experience came crashing down. I hope I’m wrong but I wouldn’t be suprised if we’re cleaning house again this winter
I don't think anybody would be surprised if the giants were cleaning house again this winter. Giants need bill, as much as I don't want that- from an eagles fan, the NFC East is better when the giants are competitive. EDIT: The only difference is this coaching staff had one glimmer of success (where he won a bunch of games he probably didn't have any business winning) and the QB got a deal (he probably didn't have any business getting) and now reality has crashed back down ever since.
As a Jets fan of course the Dolphins are a divisional rival. But I just hated to see that head injury to Tua. He and his family really need to make an important decision on his health. Hope it’s the right one.
Isnt there anyone on his program to tell him the mic sensitivity is set to low. I have my phone volume set to high just to hear him snd even then if any background noise is happening its hard to hear
Earlier the game, a Dolphin player targeted a Bill's helmet. If the league was serious about limiting head trauma that player should have received a game misconduct perhaps a multiple game suspension, a bit like a red card in soccer. They flashed over to the sideline and McDaniel was giving that how could you possible even give a 15 yard penalty for that look. Watching Tua do that involuntary fencing movement was horrendous. He needs to retire, and the league needs to step in and take that decision away from him, and hopefully the union will also agree. I don't know if the league has a policy to prevent a player from playing due to health concerns, I am guessing they do, but he needs to get is full contract paid out and not play another day.
Maybe the coach and GM are acting like "they don't want him" because they get to see his tape, his practices, his preparation, film study AND his performances in actual games.
Are you talking about Hassan Reddick? Because if you are, coming from an eagles fan who watches every game, have YOU ever watched the guy play? Because if that's who you are talking about, you sound delusional.

Rodgers is still a solid player but he is no longer an all-world quarterback because his mobility is gone. The guy can barely move back there, which takes away what made him that special player.
Aaron Rodgers is old and brittle. Hall is not an every down half back and no one is afraid of Garrett Wilson and that patch work offensive line. There best player is the kicker. Titan 27 Jets 19
For his own safety, Tua should just retire at this point. These concussions just get worse and happen more frequently in guys like him. Reminds me of Eric Lindros, who never reached his full potential due to getting so many concussions.
I don't wanna see the first football player die out there, we gotta say the quiet part out loud, the NFL is so money hungry and we all hate to see the Miami offense crumble, but when you see something, say something
Mike had it right when he suggested in the past the NFL should just make these players sign waivers so they can't sue. It's a violent contact sport, you play at your own risk.
Yankee fans can be first place in their division and best record in the American League and they still complain. Like they expect the Yankees to go 162-0.
The minimum….Tua should not return this season. Then he should make his decision in the offseason. He should actually retire and live the rest of his life, but at least sit out the rest of the season.

The Dolphin QB needs to stop playing football period. His other choice is to end up in a wheelchair at age 40. It sucks but he’s beyond lucky. He’s wealthy and has a beautiful family. His decision, it’s binary
he should retire. but he loves football and hes very religious so i just dont see it. maybe his family convinces him. i should be wearing the padded helmet slinging in the pocket like kurt warner. it is hard to play a dangerous sport scared or cautious, weather its nfl or boxing. feel bad for him. hes a good guy. great player. very accurate qb. unlucky with injuries and concussions. the last one was his fault and for it to be hamlin is bizarre, the concussion qb charging head first into the nfl player who died from a hit and came back to life to play again.
