It's hard to remember because at the time I was just a kid, but I'm sure that was the turn to Nerang. Now we'd turn off the Carrara roundabout and travel along Broadbeach-Nerang Rd, but long before that was built, I'm almost certain that was the turn. I'd say in peak hour that intersection would make more sense.
That same year i was nearing year 12 thus (god help me lol ) i passed my drivers license on the same day as my senior formal my do was at the royal pines resort (now racv 🤔)
