Albert Woodfox spent 23 hours a day in a small prison cell, that means he only got 365 hours outside the tiny cell every year, that's equivalent to 15.5 days. 365 x 40 equals 14600, 14600 is only about 608 days, so he was only freed from his tiny cell for 1 year and 243 days in those 40 years.

To me freedom still come to mind. It is not a new concept, but in many countries and history people live under dictatorship and authoritarian regime whether in Asia, Africa, or Europe, the concept of Empire, king, and queen are not old. Then, come America, a country still young, rebellious, and flaws suddenly promote freedom and democracy everywhere. No country in history is like America who are still fighting for freedom and right. I know it’s corny, but as an immigrant that is how I view it. I don’t know if it will last as I can see time will tell.
