Love his music. Saw him live recently: he blew me away. He seems like a really cool person too. I am wishing him the great things his music deserves.

I didn’t know the baby was adopted. I thought it was biological.

What I'm getting most from this is a lot like how David Bowie influenced the LGBT community in the 70s, 80s and 90s. He made them feel that it was OK to be different. I don't think he did it on purpose, but it's amazing to see that there are still people out there like Bowie.
He seems like a very logical and thoughtful person. He's completely right; America is kind of screwed up. It has problems with racism and discrimination against black people, women, and the LGBT community. Hoping to go to one of his shows someday. No country is perfect, there's always bad apples, but America could be a good place to live if it wasn't for all of it's problems.

If I didn’t know what the persons meatsuit looked like and I was blind and listened to the music, I’d think it was mediocre but the physical theatre is what makes this persons art get a lot of attention. I really don’t want to hate on someone trying to express themselves. I don’t think the music is that great. The singing voice is not my thing. I wish this person happiness. I do think it’s unfair that musicians get rewarded for their looks and when I think about music now it’s not about looking cool or different, it’s about complex songwriting. So much emphasis is on the meatsuit and I can’t wait for everyone that is a hater to recognize the real reason they aren’t fond of some peoples music. It’s because there’s too much emphasis on the body and the face and not on the soul. Then somehow critics say “oh, what a beautiful soul!” Its unfair to people that can’t cash in on their meatsuit

I’ve been going through a spontaneous Kundalini Awakening the past few years and I am also in the closet. If you tell people most can’t deal with it, don’t believe you, you have to overexplain yourself and what not. I can relate to the queer community in that way a lot.

He makes great music. As a political observer, he's just parroting CNN's nonsense, but I'm willing to overlook that because I like his music.

MEDIA GORILLA PRODUCTION her music is all about being a social outcast, rebellion, gender fluidity, anti facism, anti rich people. how do you listen to her if you think it's "snowflake nonsense"?

@@maxton1506 It's legitimately amazing isn't it? I cannot comprehend how any of these people could have actually listened to her music and been surprised by this interview. I suspect they haven't and just say it to try and lend their comment some authority.

I.initially gave video a thumbs up ... but then started hearing the Far Left slant. If only we could hear more singing and less of your politics. Oh well. Wishful thinking. On a bright note: I didn't CANCEL w a THIMBS DOWN. : )

If you'd ever listened to any of Ezra's music you might realise how silly this comment is. Almost all of her music has deeply political themes baked in, most good music does.

Thing is, he can only answer the questions he is asked. I have heard him in a lot of interviews talking about music and he is passionate and knowledgeable. But channel four news are not going to interview him about what his musical influences are or whatever. People are interested in other people's sex lives for some reason, also the news is interested in politics so those are the questions he gets asked. What can he do? If he said "actually I only want to talk about music" people would think he was a prick.

I love Ezra Furman, and clearly he wouldn't have the fame he does now if he wasn't in someway talented. Maybe instead of judging a, in my opinion, brilliant artist, maybe you should focus on being a nicer person you
