Meditation is mental health n done by mind. U don't need place or time to meditate. Relax is not meditation. Meditation is relax, aware, alert. All thoughtfulness is not meditation. Thinking all the time is also not. Meditation is being in present. Aware of everything u do,feel,react etc. U don't need to do that every single time. Just do what whenever u need it. N it's come from habits n this is very good habits. After making habits then it's automatically run n effect ur life very positively. But my goal is meditate on the truth. U can meditate on everything.
Meditation is about being in the present state, being here-now. It is about being un-wavered in thoughts and of maintaining a clear consciousness. About cutting yourself off from the day to life and its thought process. And the Namaz does exactly that. You sit in a proper posture, you say a prayer and you move your body in Sajda. From a psychological point of view, this keeps your mind in present. Your focus is not on memories/thoughts but on the action and the prayer. Namaz is read not just by one person, but by the entire family and the entire community at the same time. So at that moment, there is absolutely nothing that can disturb you. Life comes to a standstill. Silences prevails. There is no whisper, no noise, no disturbance at all. Hence, there is absolutely no refuge for your mind. It has to enter into a meditative state.
