I just picked up a 69 stingray convertible and matching hardtop 427 4 speed absolutely mint. This neighbor lady had it 42 years and we were talking about it one day she asked about my 2012 Dodge duelly and she said she just retired and is buying a camper and would love my truck. Jokingly I said I’ll trade you for the vette. Needless to say she came over two days later and said let’s make this happen if your serious.... I couldn’t believe it we both were happy with the deal so I’ll be ready to drop the top in the spring. Btw beautiful 72 Nick!

My grandma had a very nice and clean Cherry red Stingray back in the day when i was a little kid. I remember seeing it parked a lot, she barely drove it. Let me get in it and play around, cause i liked it so much. Love these old Corvettes.
I daily drive my 72 coupe it’s got a modern 350 fuel injected motor with 350HP and a manual 5 spd. All high perf suspension, leather, air, and side pipes. It’s loud as hell and it scares small children and dogs.
For the wipers try turning the large knob located under the steering column. Its function is to stop the wipers so the blades can be changed. I've had my '72 since '77.
I just found your channel Right up my alley You got Z28s up the wazooo I had my parents old Cameros For Years This is right up my alley glad you getting commercials on this Buddy Great content
Thanks for your work Nick. I appreciate these trips down memory lane , and the fact Maples Motors isn’t afraid to show the imperfections and flaws these older cars get with age. I figure it pays to show them on UA-cam ,still these cars will sell . America does it first and we do it best . Others copy our technology rarely do they improve it. Pure American 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I used to have a 1970 convertible 4 speed Stingray with a 350 motor 350 horse that was painted anniversary silver and I had the SS rally rims on it mine looked exactly like this 1972 Stingray on the inside and out I don't know if they changed anything in them years I've really love that car I sold it years ago for $6,000 but I sure do wish I had it today

I was about to say you better get to steppin to that gas station. Almost everything works, the horn & wipers rarely work on 50 yr.old cars.probably 4:10 years in it ,pretty clean.Hope you had a good lunch nick.
Richard Morris i bought a red 81 corvette with a 383 400 horsepower a few months ago to swap engines from that to my camaro but i didnt end up doing it, thr car looked brand new bought it for 3k and sold for 6
Richard Morris all it wanted to do was burnout, i never registered it but i took it to a pizza place to eat once lmfao and drove it in the neighborhood a few times, i want an older corvette

Hey Nick, what happened to chivalry--you know, open the car door for the Mrs. from the outside! Lol... 😎. nice mobile...great color scheme and a vintage 4-speed always gets my attention. Be welll.

@@CatholicBoy1957 when is the last time you seen a man open a car door for a woman? It's a whole different world & I can tell by your user name your probably my age.
Looks like the car has been recently painted. I wonder how the cracks around the headlight door openings, and the hood hinge pockets were dealt with because these are perennial problem areas for these cars. I really like how QUIET the interior of the car is...that means the car wasn't pounded to death by the previous owners.
@@craigscott5661 Good for you...on the problem scale of one to ten...it's about a two. The cracking problems are fixable...if you decide to fix the problem, go to a body shop that specializes in vettes...because a regular bodyshop might think that it's ok to grind out the cracks and put body filler over them. Body filler and Fiberglass repair material share the same polyester resin...but that's all. Bodyfiller is made of talc...fiberglass is glass fibres that are more crack resistant. Regular body filler on vettes is what shady used car lots pay for because the cracks won't show up until the headlights slam down a couple of dozen times.
Nice Vette! I just want to advise Nick to be careful testing wiper blades, because if you don't notice if it's missing the rubber you may scratch windshield! Always quickly check!
I don't understand why you guys don't sort out these small repairs before you display the vehicle. Doesn't make any sense. Seems very amateurish to me. Do like the honest videos you make.
We don't have enough time before they sell, that being said they sell faster this way. We would be putting more $ into the cars / have to hire more employees raising the price of all our cars. The new owners can tinker/fix anything the cars need. Actually most people who buy these love that the cars need attention. Almost everyone who buys from us, use that as their car hobby. Thanks for watching

And what a clean, beautiful steering wheel. Only one item one the wheel - the horn. Plus the last year for chrome bumpers. Cheers

It's your home site you visit.
She’s a beauty
shape is better looking then E-type, how does left drive work as it is opposite to australia, do you use the left foot for throttle
