So jealous at how easy your beavers down south shed thier skin. Like skinning a muskrat. Ours up here are like skinning the meanest most gristle laiden otter.
Appreciate your thoughts on these three models and seeing you back on the trapline. The Woodsman Classic was commissioned by the Sarge owner the Woodsman School about 8 years ago. He wanted my version of the Skookum Bushtool and this was the result. Here is the Sarge talking about this knife. ua-cam.com/video/B97ReDm1iDQ/v-deo.htmlsi=tf5ZEVlHmy-Zbewf ua-cam.com/video/B97ReDm1iDQ/v-deo.htmlsi=tf5ZEVlHmy-Zbewf
Curious if you have messed with the WC fieldlore. Seems like it might have the master bushman and some of the triple x wrapped together. You think flat portion is enough for skinning?
@@Meattrapper Thanks for response. I like the tooth and scandi portion, but an looking for a some food prep and carving with possibility of some skinning if needed. Of all current developed models you would say triple X is that? How is it for slicing food prep if necessary?
Nice to see you back, Meat Trapper.👍🏻
I have never held a knife with handle better than Mr. Collins’ ones. Not even close. Thanks for the video 🔪
The saber grind has always been the versatile workhorse

I looked long and hard at the Fieldlore. In the end I decided it simply didn’t have enough belly to be an effective skinner so I passed.
