I haven't tried it personally yet, but going by the videos I've seen that "tater tot" is a croquette. Americans don't know what a croquette is, but they know what a tater tot is. Since it looks like a large tater tot my guess is they just went with that so they wouldn't have to explain what a croquette is. A croquette is a European potato dish often filled with various spices and other ingredients than potato. The consistency of the potato inside is usually fine like a mashed potato rather than left over scraps of potato found in tater tots.
You're exactly right and I know what a croquette is😊It's just that I have to refer to it as the restaurant does (It's labeled as a tater tot) for consistency. In the event someone goes as a result from watching this video, they may look for a croquette in the buffet line when it's actually labeled "tater tot." I had this breakfast buffet on my trip in March, and heading out to Vegas again tomorrow, and will be visiting this buffet once again. Everything is really tasty, the price is right, and the fact that you can order eggs benedict and an omelette off the menu, is fantastic. Perhaps the only other thing that I would have liked to see, are some lox to go with a bagel.

I was just there last week and thought it was great. For $28 it was definitely worth it. Food was fresh and hot and quite good. I ordered the eggs benny as well and it was cooked perfectly.
Love the bennies!🤭It's a great deal and almost like a hidden gem back there! They said they would be expanding it soon!
