People keep saying Kage sucks. But people (Daigo included) didn't realized E.Ryu's potential until Sako raped everyone with E.Ryu's combos. I can see history repeats itself
Some people think he sucks but some think he's top tier. He has potential but what hurts him is that he lacks what Evil Ryu had. Which is the default full screen Hadouken and reliable mids for mid range footsies like stMK/crMK/stMP IIRC all were special cancelable too. Generally people agree that once he gets in, hes a monster.
Kage has little to do with E Ryu in terms of game play. The core of E Ryu gameplay was converting from crMK xx Fireball > FADC into big damage. Also, he had great normals and pretty much the best fireball in the game for footsies. Kage is nothing like that. He has potential, but he'snowhere near E Ryu.
Would like to see a battle between Sako's Kage and Tokido's Akuma. Just want to see an ex Akuma player with his tail between his legs after losing with Kage.
