this song brings me nostalgia that feels weird to have. it’s a bright sun, long hair, shimmery eyeshadow, old navy shorts, a few too many oreos, and an optimistic existence paired with no idea of what i was getting myself into. i was naive, i was happy, and i was stupid. i thought i was doing good, and i thought i was correcting things i had been accused of, but i was making virtually no difference and setting myself up for the worst year of my life. this song made me feel like the giddy pre-teen i was yet simultaneously like the more subdued person i was becoming. crazy

This just reminds me of how sad I am honestly, but it makes me so hopeful at the same time. So my adoptive/bonus mother has been the only person who has ever been a real parent to me, and recently my biological parent have been trying to rip her out of my life. Music is my only way to cope. So this is helping me keep hope that I’ll see her again and finally go home
