Hey Stanley, I spent all day painting my house yesterday while listening to about 8 hours of your podcasts. A lot of great information. I can't wait for the season 2016 to begin!
Hey, Stanley, know to know a helpful and handy trick for turning on concrete without wearing out tires and leaving black marks? Sprinkle a little fine sand as they act as ball bearings...
Love that new ( for me ) trick. Live in Colorado and put it on practice next summer when doing concrete, since is winter here an off season. Thanks Paul.
I've rented Bobcat brand and worked for a company that had CAT and hated both. The Bobcat dies every time you try to push into a pile and are very jerky. The CAT was impossible to see the attachment plate without leaning wayyyy forward in the seat which made switching attachments a pain. I own a Case SV250 and love it. Their new DL550 Minotaur looks awesome.
Hey Stanley keep up the good work. We run 3 Case skidloaders on our Virginia dairy farm. An SR250, an SR220, and an SR200. Did you know that you can actually adjust the sensitivity of the controls and the hydraulic flow to the booms by pressing the right sequence of buttons on the right hand control panel? I know they're not big red buttons, but it's not as hard as you think! Also these skidloaders ride better in my opinion than any others I've operated except late model JCBs. Keep up the good work:)
+Gravel Back Mechanic The Case's wheel base on this machine is to far apart to do great doughnuts. Skid steers with Short wheelbases will make you chuck cookies in about 2 minutes-they really whip around. These big bulky machines are more like steering an elephant in a circle- I could probably last 4 or 5 minutes before I got bored- or chucked cookies :)
I run newhollands and love them for visibility and ease of operation. Great work on all your vids. I had question on over tire rubber tracks. I am only going to run them in summer not in winter (I run snow tires) and wondered if taking front drive chain off is really needed, then I would have option to switch them to another machine quickly if I ever had a breakdown.
Thanks for the review - did you feel like the lift cylinders were quite long compared to other vertical lift machines? Appears the bracing and frame over the engine is plenty stout, just seems like a lot of ram length for a machine that routinely takes a lot of stress, often with the arms at least partially raised.
When door is open it locks the loader arm to prevent damage to door, I have a new holland c232 and only 800 hrs and 2 leaks in the control valve body. Case tv 380 is the same as New holland c232 but diffrent features, new one today have ride control and self leveling bucket and new design on wiring . Will be testing soon, still waiting for delivery.
Good review. Not much has changed on the 16's. I'm in the market for a skid and I'm starting to think case over deere. I know there was a huge amount of issues with the 200/220 smaller frame ones. I've heard good things about the sv/sr250 thou. Going to the dealer monday to have a closer look.
have you operated any of the newer gehl skid loaders? I'm up near brainerd but I've been thinking of opening a aggregate pit near st could and skid loaders are a nice machine to have. my dad has a 3725 gehl and I love the T-handle controls.
I own the SV340 and have had nothing but problems. With 350 hrs it has had 8 break downs, almost every time I go to use it it goes down. The door is a problem if you want to git in and out with the arms up even a little. It is super slow to get operating with several buttons to push with a time delay between each one. Long story short it was replaced with a Takechui. In all fairness to Case I also have a 450 Skidloader that I will never sale because I love the earlier versions.
I had a case 90xt skid steer very powerful I could lift 4 inch tree no problem unlock fireplace gas grilles all so plowed snow with it good pushing power for snow dirt anything case equipment is really good no problems with them
Actually looking for a skid loader to purchase within the month seriously looking at case 270 deere 323 haven't looked at cat yet but the case is too of list right now
I’m surprised case doesn’t get more respect. I own an SV 300 it came with solid demo tires which I hated. They where the wrong application for what I was doing. I switched them out for a taller bar patterned pneumatic tire and the thing is unstoppable. I’m going to go against the grain here and say I like the machines low stance it gives it a low center of gravity and makes it very stable. I have yet to get stuck, since the new tires. I agree 100% about some of the finishes could be better, but the machine is a tank!
have you ran the new m series bobcat's? really fast bucket. you can flip boulders up in the air like you did the dirt. the s570 and s590 are really powerful for the frame size. like to know how you compare them to the case. just bought a s160 for a steal of a price. wanted new, but got this for $18,000 with forks, bucket, snow plow. thanks for your video.
+MCequipment Agree. plow sold for $2,100. purchase price at $15,900. then new bobcat severe duty tires (brand new) at $330 a piece plus foam, lastly $2,200 service from dealer with 20 addition hrs from service. then the best part, residential vs commercial use. Peace man
CASE 💯$ I own a 2011 case s250 and 2005 case mini excavator and I absolutely love these machines I am only 21 year's old and I love case equipment I have never had a issue with case I am a member at victor l Philips in Topeka KS my local case dealership I do heavy construction and case is my first choice
I love case excavators. They are smooth like butter! Cases new skid steers not so much. I grew up on a case 1845 and it was great but these new ones i do not care for.
Did you know that that is the exact same machine as a New Holland L230, just different paint. Case and New Holland merged a few years ago. you must watch out for the regen system and exhaust. It gets very hot and in dusty conditions it will catch fire. We had some at the farm and had to send the new one back a week later. it would catch fire everyday, we had to hose it down after every use.. FYI
I don't think it's wise to reach in and try to turn a machine off on an operator. If he doesn't know you're there, you're way too close to danger. If he does know you're there, he can turn it off himself. Also, as I understand, it's bad for the turbo to shut off the engine with the RPM's up. I've been taught to always idle down before turning off a skid steer. The turbo needs time to cool before getting shut off. You can almost always hear ok with it at a low idle. You might have to grab whatever rattling plastics are in the cab though.
I only reach in and turn it off if the operator hasn't done it yet and sees someone in close proximity. They should know automatically to shut it off if someone is in the danger zone.
I got a chance to try a John Deere 270 rubber tire skid loader man would that thing push when you are scraping up sod and grass you had to be careful it would come over the top of the bucket and in the cab with you that thing was not stopping first skid steer I ever saying that would push 3 to 4 scoops in front of it without stopping
Did you buy a new machine? if so what did you buy? and why? Maybe make a new video. Any more, all the new machines feel like a tank compared to the old ones. Ya, the buttons have changed a lot and designs from machine to machine really do vary. I just bought a Cat 226d and its the smallest skidsteer in the cat wheeled line up. My advised for a business owner who makes his living sitting in the seat is to try the three big dealers in your area and try them out on a job before you buy. Each manufacture seems to have good and bad points. Do your research on line before sitting in any machine so you have tech specs. I bought the cat because the ride control was a button you didn't have to hold down it was either on or off and you could control the speed the ride control came on. Case has a button that you have to hold down on the joy stick which I didn't like. Small machines need ride control, it flat out works great. I got a small machine because I do a lot of driveway replacements and small is good. But don't let the 226d trick you. Its a tank that gets with the program. Try out different brand machines, try out different sizes. Make sure that machine makes you money, it doesn't have to be new. Thanks Stanley for all the good info, helping small business owner like myself.
Never step into a operated machine's bucket, I would not like to be on a job site with you as your actions sound aggressively dangerous. If you want to talk to an operator flag them from a safe distance and only approach the equipment when the operator either shuts it down or motions you to approach.
I don't care for the door. I prefer a roll up overhead over the swing style. I may want to have the door open while working, whereas the door the operator can't do that.
+Haddox Hardscapes & Landscaping That was an awesome first video- Heck that was an awesome 100th video. It took me that long to get to your level of quality on your first video :) Proud 3rd subscriber!
Dah, just tell the operator to turn the machine off. Why would u ever want to reach in and turn it off?! Thats even more dangerous. U have 12 yr olds running your equipment?
Hey Stanley, I spent all day painting my house yesterday while listening to about 8 hours of your podcasts. A lot of great information. I can't wait for the season 2016 to begin!
+james freeman Thanks James- I am looking for new guests- suggestions welcome :)
I’ve been using their track skid steer and you are right with the controls being touchy, took some getting used to but now I love it
Hey, Stanley, know to know a helpful and handy trick for turning on concrete without wearing out tires and leaving black marks?

Just bought a TR270 first day on the job......awesome...I love it so far so good I do agree with u about the small buttons lol I got big hands
Hey Stanley we’re looking into a case sv280 is it a good machine?do you run any case skidsteers now?
Stan, super important question- How well does the Case do donuts and how many can you do before you chuck your cookies?
+Gravel Back Mechanic The Case's wheel base on this machine is to far apart to do great doughnuts. Skid steers with Short wheelbases will make you chuck cookies in about 2 minutes-they really whip around. I use a Harley rake for finish grading have you used one instead of hand finishing it is less labor
Good to hear...I've got a new SV250 coming this week!
Nice!
Gotta love them case skidloaders
How has your case skid loader been one the last 4 years? Looking to buy a used one
+Dale Steeper You don't have to take the from drive chain off- but it is recommended.
I have the SR210 with hand controls. You live in minnesota.. ?
Are track skid steer loader better consider case 550 or case 620 are case skid steer loader reliable drove bobcat 12 half years
Yeah, those controls are adjustable. Sweet machines!
they do offer larger tires on this machine. I use one at work everyday and it does give you much more clearance
Love the reviews on machine !
👍
Can't think of any right now, thanks...
Stan, another great review, thank you
+David Schneider Thanks David.- any equipment you want to see a review on?
Thanks for the review - did you feel like the lift cylinders were quite long compared to other vertical lift machines? Appears the bracing and frame over the engine is plenty stout, just seems like a lot of ram length for a machine that routinely takes a lot of stress, often with the arms at least partially raised.
Great point Jay and I just don't know the answer to that question.
The bobcats are also like that. I remember before they had the safety features-I lost a few doors to new operators haha.
Bill the tv380 is the same as the C238 NOT the c232
what were you doing for the job
Good review. Not much has changed on the 16's. I'm in the market for a skid and I'm starting to think case over deere. I know there was a huge amount of issues with the 200/220 smaller frame ones. I've heard good things about the sv/sr250 thou. Going to the dealer monday to have a closer look.
So what did you buy?
So what did you buy?
arent the case excavators the same as kobelcos? like how New Holland uses them to?
+Bert Bert Not that I am aware of. New Holland and John Deere Skid ladders used to be identical expect for Engines.
The Case and New Holland skid steers are made in the same factory. They are basically the same machine aside from a few minor differences.
have you operated any of the newer gehl skid loaders? I'm up near brainerd but I've been thinking of opening a aggregate pit near st could and skid loaders are a nice machine to have. my dad has a 3725 gehl and I love the T-handle controls.
+snuffbandit Never tried them

anybody have advise fairly new case will not release even when you hit the buttons are we missing something ?
I’m surprised case doesn’t get more respect. I own an SV 300 it came with solid demo tires which I hated. They where the wrong application for what I was doing. you ever use jcb?
Do you prefer this case for snow also?
+Devin McGrath I haven't used it in the snow.
Reach inside the cab and turn my machine off for some bullshit we might have to fight. Haha
If you are standing close enough to reach in and shut the machine off, you better rethink your position. Not a smart move !!!
starting to look at skidsteers for next winter and this sways me quite a bit, but idk cat is still looking pretty mint
Declan kot cat is to much money though.
Yes- paying that CAT name premium
also the nearest dealer is a solid hour away so its a pain in the ass, closest dealer to me is bobcat
have you ran the new m series bobcat's? really fast bucket. you can flip boulders up in the air like you did the dirt. the s570 and s590 are really powerful for the frame size. like to know how you compare them to the case. just bought a s160 for a steal of a price. wanted new, but got this for $18,000 with forks, bucket, snow plow. thanks for your video.
+hollamby75 I have tried the M series but not extensively. Can't say anything about them good or bad. How many hours and what years was that s 160?
Hollamby75, 18k for a 2004 s160 is not a "steal of a price". you paid too much.
+MCequipment your not in my market, nor saw the machine. Had mulitple attachments, new tires, zero rust, complete maintenance records.
+hollamby75 my market is all over the country. sounds like a nice machine, but a good deal would have been 14-15k range.
+MCequipment Agree. plow sold for $2,100. purchase price at $15,900. then new bobcat severe duty tires (brand new) at $330 a piece plus foam, lastly $2,200 service from dealer with 20 addition hrs from service. then the best part, residential vs commercial use. Peace man
CASE 💯$ I own a 2011 case s250 and 2005 case mini excavator and I absolutely love these machines I am only 21 year's old and I love case equipment I have never had a issue with case I am a member at victor l Philips in Topeka KS my local case dealership I do heavy construction and case is my first choice

great video man!

+steve neal Holy Crap Steve- Thats crazy. A brand new machine catching fire. Thats sounds like a factory recall.
Bullshit! Only certain models have dpf that due regen... i see work for the company and never heard of skids catching fire. Dont spread rumors.
Hey Stan goo look at thr Wacmer Neuson T45 track skid please review Dennis Mac
I don't think it's wise to reach in and try to turn a machine off on an operator. If he doesn't know you're there, you're way too close to danger. The question is how much do you save compared to a comparable CAT skid steer?
+Lsatq Great question-that I just don't know the answer to yet
I've watched a lot of your video's Stanley "Dirt Monkey" Genadek ( Good Stuff ) Have you tried the New Kubota Skid Loader yet ?
If you get a chance check out the kubota SVL90 if you haven't already. I bought one over the summer, it is very simple and powerful.
+SummitLandscapingLLC I will check it out.
SummitLandscapingLLC we have 2 of them and they are very good machines
I got a chance to try a John Deere 270 rubber tire skid loader man would that thing push when you are scraping up sod and grass you had to be careful it would come over the top of the bucket and in the cab with you that thing was not stopping first skid steer I ever saying that would push 3 to 4 scoops in front of it without stopping
That 300 is a beast...maybe rubber over tire tracks for certain applications
+Chris Smith Over the tire tracks are awesome. I have used them for years.
Track steel or rubber have there spots. They eat tires and are VERY hard on drive chains and such. FYI
fly by wire?
You need to test a takeuchi!
I used a CAT once don't remember the model, no touch no feel, the worst I ever used. What do you think of CAT
Basically a New Holland. I like a really responsive machine.
A Bobcat 570 also has enough bucket speed to bump dirt into the back of the bucket.
Awesome- didn't know that.
How about big yellow buttons? :)
+Adam Carter Yes- Big Yellow buttons are actually just as good as Red buttons and less scary.
have you ever tested out a Kubota?
Not really.
Also co sider Kubota 97-2 skid steer loader
If I ask you really nicely would you send me one for Christmas?
+Primo Landscaping I would have to Ask Case really nicely for 2- if they do that I will send you the extra.
Your video's are awesome keep them coming! Just starting out and I'm 10 steps ahead because of you !
I learned on case love them.
+Chet Burke Lawns Great machines!
When the door is open the controls shut down
That's a nice safety factor
We just got a case 210d excavator on the job site I can’t stand it. Jumpy, just no where near as smooth as a komatasu
Did you buy a new machine? if so what did you buy? and why? Maybe make a new video. Any more, all the new machines feel like a tank compared to the old ones. Good info Dan!
Can't see the corners of the bucket, blades, landplane,Power rake. Can't see out the sides the boom arms are too thick and wide
Did you buy some Case equipment after this video?
+mnmike2012 No but I will be considering it.
I'd be pissed if you reached into my machine and turned it off, not only that but it is dangerous.
Its more dangerous to leave a machine running if someone steps into your bucket.
Never step into a operated machine's bucket, I would not like to be on a job site with you as your actions sound aggressively dangerous.
If you want to talk to an operator flag them from a safe distance and only approach the equipment when the operator either shuts it down or motions you to approach.
MrFakit glad I wasn't the only one who found that to be kinda weird
Totally agree, we might have to fight if u reach in and turn my machine off
They are not for long lasting. We have had about 12 of them. Now a Kubota is good
I like the buttons to be Like and Subscribed in size. ;)
+Trooperandcooper Ale Those are great buttons!
That's what l run case loaders the biger ones..
I don't care for the door. I prefer a roll up overhead over the swing style. I may want to have the door open while working, whereas the door the operator can't do that.
Good Point- But I have had those overhead doors suddenly fall and bust into pieces on me.
cool
+J.L. Landscaping and property maintenance Thanks :)
Stand that bucket thing. I invented it
But yes they are very responsive
Красиво поработали два друга.
Stan posted my first landscaping vid of some jobs I've done check it out let me know what you think !
I HATE the case skid steer nobody I worked with liked it... I like case equipment but just not this one..
Super strong machine terrible speed control
Medium duty uni loader far from heavy duty
There junk work at the dealership no good
