Three brothers, natural born three-part-harmony. And it's all leading to the chorus, whoever sang the verse. Blessed singers! Unique in a very special way. Unbeatable good. I'd like to bring near to you, three songs, with different leads of them: 'The Change Is Made' (Barry), 'And The Sun Will Shine' (Robin) and 'On Time' (Maurice). To me, they've always been equal, don't like to prefer one of them. Yaknow, that's a unit. Fact is, Barry(1.) and Robin (2.) got many leads because of more abilities. But Maurice was the one, that braught it to perfection in many choruses.
The Everly bros. Had great two-dude harmony. The blend with the barber shop style of the Osmond bros. was Remarkably well done. And the lead vocals of Michael along with his four other Jackson bros. made them pop legends. That said, No other group held my ear to the radio as did the Brothers Gibb.
I remember this song well. Massachusetts came out in 1967 when I was 13. Grew up in the upper Hudson River Valley, just across the border from Western Mass..........
daXmusiX - May I please request a couple of Bee Gees song reactions? "I can't see nobody" on "The Midnight Special". Soulful Robin solo - ua-cam.com/video/ZYO4KQ4s0II/v-deo.html "She keeps on coming", a fun song - ua-cam.com/video/QZHIUsL8oq0/v-deo.html Thanks, if possible. :)
Robin's voice is so velvety with a natural vibratto.I just love the BeeGees.Robin and his son R.J.did a song called "Don't cry alone "a little before he died. So sad but so beautiful. Maurice spoke about Barry and Robin's voices sometimes sounding as one voice when they sang together.
I like their earlier songs as well. But Robin sings a beautiful song that he wrote for his brother Andy called For Whom The Bell Tolls. Robin is my favorite as well.
Trudy.....For Whom the Bell Tolls was written by all 3 brothers, & wasn't written for Andy. Wish You Were Here was written & dedicated to him in 1989 though.
Please react to IT DOESN'T MATTER MUCH TO ME By the Beegees... Robin sings the falsetto in this song. There is a song from the movie west side story called Somewhere...Robin sang this song when he was 16 years old. Other good songs that are older are While I play and Close another door....please react to these songs by the Beegees.
Please react to ROBIN GIBB ELLAN VANNIN FEATURING KING WILLIAM’S CHIOR. (It’s the Isle of Mann’s national anthem with added verses by Robin, and filmed on the Isle of Mann for his Christmas album.) There is also a live version that he did at a Bee Gees appearance, but the official video is really special.
@@daxmusix - Ellan Vannin is beautiful. The version he did with the choir is very sad because he knew he was dying at the time and it was his final tribute as a Manx man.
Hello and thank for this reaction "Massachusetts" was their first #1 in UK Charts 1967 in my Top 5 of all BEE GEES songs: Massachusetts Lamplight My world Mr Natural Nights on Broadway GOD bless you Best regards from Argentina
Glad you had Lamplight in there. An absolute classic which never quite made it. The group broke up for a short period because the preferred single release from the Odessa album was 1st of May which was very successful. Cheers.
Hey, you're going to notice a group of us RGs, aka Robin's Girls here👋 and I think I speak for the group when I say we liked those *ahem* tight jeans. Am I right? Where all my RGs at? Q? J2? J3? LJ?
Thanks, DaX - Robin has always been my favorite (do you notice how often Robin is holding his "ear" - either with his hand or a headset? I love that he is so concentrated)- yeah, Barry is good & all, but I don't think the Bee Gees would have been what they were without Robin - and also Maurice (he could hit some high notes)... Robin was the most unique... and beautiful... look forward to more from you...
@@GinMae I agree that what made the Bee Gees the Bee Gees were all three of them together. But why was the dig on Barry necessary? You know, that little sly cutting Barry down to size things Robin fans are so good at. I actually suspect that it’s neither Barry, nor Robin, who are the real key to what makes them work, but Maurice. Barry and Maurice sounded really good together when Robin was gone-you don’t miss Robin in those particular songs at all, like Tomorrow Tomorrow. There’s a nice color to them, despite. Then I heard Barry and Robin together after Maurice died, and they sounded good, but it was lacking something. Depth maybe. I need to hear Robin and Maurice together to complete my study. Somehow Maurice’s voice makes the other person’s voice pop. I think Mo deserves a medal for being the forever forbearing and cooperative Bee Gee who never got his just dues. I also notice that when Barry and Robin sing in unison it’s almost impossible to tell their voices apart, except Barry has a pronounced tremolo at the end. In between, though, they sound like one voice.
Actually Robin is still 39 here. This was recorded in Oct. and the twins birthday is Dec. 22. He is as hot as he ever was during this period (imo). I don't think he looks older than 40. I apologize for not adding a thing to the conversation at hand but I pretty . much never post anything that is not stupid shit about Robin Gibb.
What is this concert? I wonder if it’s the one you can buy. BTW, you’re wrong about Barry’s falsetto. He didn’t discover his falsetto until mid 70s, for Nights on Broadway. I prefer Barry’s voice. His voice just gets me every time. It’s so amazing and delicious. I also prefer him as a performer. To each their own.
It's from their 1989 One For All Melbourne concert. The tour began shortly after releasing their One album, which was dedicated to Andy. One of their best concert & one everyone should own!🎶
“There’s just something about his voice that gets me every time.”
My sentiments exactly.
Robin Gibb had a very unique voice that I love.
This whole concert is awsome.
Yes!
Great reactions! My favorite of Robin’s is I Can’t See Nobody live at Midnight Special 1973.❤️. So much emotion!!
Barty discovered his falsetto recording nights on Broadway in 1975. All three have beautiful voices. Love this song
My favorite!!!❤❤❤

Watch the Beegees medley from 1963. They started performing as kids around the ages of 6/7 and Barry would have been 9/10.

Please do Maurice’s song Man in the Middle.
I will get around to that, Sean. Thank you
👌👏
4 lads? Youngest Andy was born in Manchester. They left for Australia when he was a baby.
I misspoke on that. Thank you
Robin and Maurice are twins. Their family moved to the Queensland from Ise of Man in late 50s.
@@nakamura007 they moved to Queensland from Manchester, not the Isle of Man.

I love this song and I love Robins voice. Thank you.
Robin's voice is very unusual to the point of unique 👌
This is my favourite performance of this song. The ovation he got at the end was beautiful. He was so humble acknowledging it.
Robin is so special. I'm not one for getting too sentimental over musicians when they die...but when he left the planet it broke my heart.
I cried for Mo, Robin and Meat Loaf.
I teally like Robin's voice too..
They are so talented

Holy smokes. U got it. Emotional voice. He puts his wrong heart and soul into every note. Actually they ALL do!!
I like their earlier songs as well.
But Robin sings a beautiful song that he wrote for his brother Andy called For Whom The Bell Tolls.

Are you sure he wrote it alone? Hmm. Barry’s listed first.

Like your reaction a lot and thank you. Robin is always the best to me. Bee Gees 👍🤟
Didn’t realize it was a competition.
Great Robin: For whom the bell tolls.
i'm here for the Bee Gees. I was into this group before disco. I love your reactions!
Love this song. It was special to me because I was born in Lowell, Massachusetts. Your right they seem to be just as good live as on recordings.

New York Mining Disaster is another Robin lead song.
Hi please...try love so right live 1976
That’s one of my favorites, Artie. I will definitely get to it. Thank you
Maurice is pronounced Morris. Just thought u may want to know😊
You just can't get better than sibling harmony... The Bee Gee's r amazing. and just to let you know... it's not Maurice it's pronounced Morris
Robin Gibb was my favorite voice of the three. So unique and vulnerable and lovely. It’s like a fine priceless violin played by a virtuoso.
Robin's beautiful voice and gorgeous face ❤❤❤❤❤🥰😍😘

three part harmony💪
Isn’t it sad, he and his twin Maurice, was born a year later than me, and both are gone by now???
There was a song in Fever where Robin went into Falsetto and I cannot remember which it was. Maybe you do. It was the only song he did falsetto on.
A beautiful song, beautiful ending
