This is what my Nets refused to trade Mikal for. I am disgusted.
Very disgusted man, but idk maybe all hope is not lost.
I think the playoffs and our recent coaching hires may tell a different story after the finals and the offseason begins. More time to evaluate our situation. We have a lot of flexibility and going in a semi rebuild in trading Mikal for at least our 2025/2027 pick swaps back, trading dfs, cam Johnson, and schroeder. Letting Ben expire. We can get 3-4 firsts out of this. While having our young talent continue to develop and then in 2025 have 80-90 mil in cap space, over 10 firsts in the next 6 years, and the luxury of being in nyc.
That would be my ideal situation set up.
Why does everyone assume the Rockets want Bridges or give back all those Nets picks? so stupid.

I think the rockets will trade there pick because idaka wants a winning roster. I'm hoping it's with my bulls moving lavine or demar so we could move up in the draft.

I think it will be better than lackluster 2023 draft class. Brandon Miller, Keynote George, and Wemby only ones truly balled out. That says a lot. This draft class will produce.

I'd trade it if there was a player I really wanted....like a #1 option. I don't see any of those. At least, any of those that could realistically put us in a position as contenders. I'm worried Stone will make a dumb trade trying to speed up the rebuild. That offer for Bridges was insane....he's a guy that I could see being a 3rd option on a championship team, but right now, he's the best player on a bad team. We already have so many quality wings, that we don't have enough minutes to go around. So, I'd prefer keeping the pick...finding steals in the draft, is what Stone does best. I love Reed Sheppard"s game. This is a bad draft, so I don't mind spending the #3 on him. He's a lot more than a shooter. Watching his scouting video was surprising and impressive. Many of his 3 point shots came 2 to 4 feet behind the college 3. He's got BBall IQ, a good passer, a 42 inch vertical....he doesn't have any big weaknesses.....unless you want to look at his size and length. Without shoes measured at 6'1.75"....half an inch taller than Dillingham. Heard one knock on him was his defense, but he averaged 0.7 blocks and 2.5 steals in less than 30 minutes a game as a freshman....and only started 5 games. All the other guys I've been looking at have major flaws to overcome. I think Sheppard would fit in seamlessly with the Rockets, and looks like he could play day 1. The other guys, I doubt, would see the floor much.
I like Risacher! If he ends up falling to 4 I wouldn’t mind my Spurs getting him.

Not necessarily because nailing on impactful players on rookie contracts is very important in todays nba
Zacch is actually good for number 3 pick after all. Donovan clingan is good as well. In 2021 draft the Cavs selected Evan Mobley 7’1 with pick no 3, so why can’t the Rockets take Donovan clingan. Mobley is not that better than clingan at college level. Clingan bigger & taller and have won two NCAA championship.

Dllingham is the no-brainer choice for the Rockets just like Cam Whitmore was, last season.
