I cannot even begin to tell you how many times i've watched this video. As sad and heartbreaking as it is, it's also VERY POWERFUL......filled with all the angst, anger, confusion, betrayal, & LOVE...... ABSOLUTELY one of YOUR BEST montages ever made. BRAVO!!!!!
You've done it again!! I love this montage to pieces! It's so emotional,angsty, and sad all at once. It makes me wish the writers had never broken J&M up. At least with past story-lines you always saw a glimmer of hope that J&M would get back together. But the writers made this storyline so out of character that it seems almost impossible for them to ever get back together. But, I loved that you'd made this storyline so worth watching in your montage. :)

Creative license is ALWAYS good. Montagers always seem to be able to piece it together better than the writers can. But I've said it before and I will continue to: as terrible as the writing may be, the actors always make it work. Deidre, Drake and Eileen did amazing with this patchwork of a storyline. And as always, you did great showcasing it. : )
Someone please bring back late 90s Jarlena or 1986... Eek. Can't believe what they've done to this couple. I loved Marlena and John ever since watching days in the 90s with my grandparents.. And whenever I was home sick from school. And always loved that they seemed like soul mates and that their love could overcome anything. The storyline the last 1-2 years has negated everything they've built the last almost 30 years!! Real John Black would fight for Marlena always. And that him having feelings for Kristen thing, what a joke! We need some 'true love can overcome any obstacle' storylines not the mess that's on ATM!

Even though a reunion (presumably) is happening at the end of this month, I still love this video so, so much. It shows the angst, anger, and love that we should have seen in J&M during this ridiculous storyline.

IIttuJM As you should be! :) I'm a huge fan of Deidre's. (Love Drake too.) She somehow always finds a way to bring depth to the terrible writing in other ways, and this video brought that all together and took it to another level. THANK YOU!
IIttuJM And I'm back watching this yet again. :) I'm glad these writers are gone. (Although you made the complete bs they wrote look great with this vid. Lol) But I can't help but be worried about what the new writers have in mind for them. Higley being one of them terrifies me. I'm afraid to get my hopes too high, but at least it's a change. Btw, can you tell me where the scenes at 1:28 and 2:14 came from? I saw them once when they aired, but I haven't been able to find them since...probably because I've tried to repress most of the storylines since 1999 - most especially this one. :P
Horrible story line and the writers sucked for breaking up the best super couple to ever exist. I’m so glad they realized that keeping them together is better than apart. Love my Marlena and John, Jarlena ❤️we as fans deserve to be angry at those so called writers.

The writers should know the history of J&M best super couple ever on days ! How could you have John betray Marlena like that with Kristen ? It was heartbreaking I just seen the montages I wasn’t watching days at that time I had lost my husband and was grieving . I just know the history of days and J& M the chemistry between them is magical please don’t split them up again.

How could’ve the writers to this it broke our hearts along with Marlena. I didn’t like John’ look on his face when Marlena said, she was sure going to try. He just seemed smug just my take on it.
I’ve never been able to watch this story. I completely skip over it. That’s not my couple. I’ve seen enough montages though to get the idea. Beautiful video though.
Thank you. A wise decision, I'm still trying to erase it from my memory. But I must admit that storyline (or should I say the era starting from there) has ruined J&M to me to some extent.. Perhaps not the storyline itself but the bad writing continued for years, thus D&D didn't share much meaningful screen time together and for whatever reason, IMO, their chemistry's been a little off ever since.. There are still singular moments when it is there (eg. the first scenes together after his head injury or the 2018 wedding), but those moments seem to be few and far between.. And it's not only the writing not allowing them meaningful moments, but they're lacking the playfulness and little touches they used to do whenever they were sharing a scene together..
@@IIttuJM I honestly think the lack is just due to the bad writing. The show has become somewhat cheesy, it lacks depth. So If analyzing it I think it’s hard to have those meaningful moments they’re so well known for when the story isn’t there to support it. But once in a while a writer seems to remember and we get glimpses. His accident, the wedding, her shooting, the return of Orpheus, even the horrific Stevano story. So I don’t really watch on the daily but I return for those moments.

omg! I've stopped watching...is this what they've done to the powerful J&M?! written them to get a divorce? Made him sleep with kristen? Wrecked everything?! oh my gosh!! I'm dying...it can't be. How? Whyyy? It isn't fair. Hanna this video is amazing but it broke my heart and continues to break my heart knowing that they're where they are...
why; that's a 64$ question.. And what makes everything so much more worse is that there are no innuendos about J&M being an endgame. They very likely will be, but the writers don't show any hope for a future reunion on screen. No longing looks, no dreams, no fantasies.. Just a shared scene full of mean coldness once a month and that's all the interaction we get after a +25-year-old lovestory based on unconditional love. I haven't watched Days for quite some time because of this shit (other stories are pure shit as well lol), but I assume that's what the producers of the show want, viewers abandoning Days. Or at least I cannot imagine any other reason for terrible storytelling. I haven't seen a single person, who would've thought this John/Marlena/Brady/Kristen story was a good one, on any forum.

The writer should have never had John go so far with Kristen. It broke Marlena heart and tore them apart , the best super couple on Days I’ve been watching them since the 80’s. I know they got back together but it ruined the love story they had.
