The blades won't touch the bottom of the pan if you don't use the pan guard. The pan guard keeps you from scraping the blender housing on your pan and scratching your pan.

The pan guard softens in hot food, and has a chance of falling and blending into your food. Happened to mine on first use. Think about it, thin plastic in Hot liquid, it's going to melt/soften and lose its grip. What a shit idea.

I have found out that you need to charge it every time after you use it . If you don’t charge it then it struggles so just charge it .

Mine fell off with first use and chewed itself up. I'm not pleased, since that was the reason I bought this thing, to protect my ceramic cookware... Other than that it is a great blender.

true, but she has it on wrong, the grooves at the bottom of the pan guard are supposed to align with the grooves of the metal, and the parts she has stuck through the holes on the side are supposed to grip over the top of the metal head. Why people review things they don't know how to use is beyond me.

It does, it goes from green to yellow to red on the top. I don't find it that heavy personally.
