Since I started re-watching Disney, etc, movies from my childhood with my daughter, I'm surprised at how many adult jokes there are in each movie! I didn't catch any of them when I was little. I recall a few confusing me, but that's a common occurrence to little ones. So not only were a ton of children's movies slightly traumatizing (Return to Oz, Labyrinth, Legend, Dark Crystal, etc etc), there was plenty of cleverly hidden adult jokes & stuff.
Altho... Kids movies back then were so well written that parents liked watching them, too; they were entertaining instead of boring lol. I'm having a grand time seeing them, first time in 15 years. 80s/90s kids might've had to suffer with nightmares sometimes as payment lol, but it was worth it.
I am so mad that Robots never gets the recognition it deserves. I loved that movie when I was a kid. Idk why but it deserves love too.
