    We recently went on a 2-night, 3-day trip to Mokpo with our in-laws, welcoming the New Year of 2024 in Mokpo, which we believe will leave a lasting memory.

    -Accommodation-
    The Shiver Guest House
    Since our visit coincided with a holiday, the price was a bit higher than usual. However, they kindly adjusted the rate from 24,000 won to 20,000 won for 2 nights, making our stay more affordable. Although the room lacked a TV, the heating worked well, and the bedding and cleanliness were excellent. Oh, we unknowingly brought packaged food and drinks to the room, but it turns out eating in the rooms is not allowed. (😭 Apologies)
    -Restaurants-
    Mu-an Delicacies
    The food here was delicious, especially since I enjoy dishes like seasoned vegetables. Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy it with alcohol due to a dental treatment issue with my father-in-law.
    Deok In Jib
    As mentioned in the video, the elderly staff member, possibly the owner, seemed a bit forgetful. There was a bit of a fuss as they accidentally brought the same dish to our table twice during lunch. The female staff members were experienced, but at that moment, it seemed the owner was occupied in the kitchen, causing a bit of confusion. Be cautious with the elderly owner...
    Ssukkkulle
    Tasty but quite expensive.
    Pomi Restaurant
    This is the most cost-effective restaurant in Mokpo. Highly recommended. The only drawback was the green paint on the floor, which was a bit off-putting in a restaurant. There was also a distinct smell when entering. However, as we stayed, the smell faded. The owner was very kind and pleasant.
    Bada Cheon-guk (Sea Paradise)
    This place is truly fantastic. Originally, we planned to have rockfish sashimi, but they mentioned it's only available in the summer. So, we decided to try seasonal fish and went for Girella. There was an additional charge of 30,000 won for Girella. Since our family loves sashimi and has had it many times this winter, based on past experiences where each restaurant didn't provide various parts separately but sliced everything at once, we made a reservation in advance, asking them to pay attention to each part. They handled it well, and it was a delightful last dinner after a slightly unsatisfactory experience at Deok In Jib the previous day. 😅
