    Thanks for sharing this, THG! I haven’t seen this yet, but these concepts have been around a long time. These are the future of agriculture. John Deere has a giant tractor-towed sprayer that uses machine learning to find the weeds among crops and spray only weeds, not the entire field. They claim up to 90% herbicide reduction. But these bees could autonomously and continuously tend crops, delivering a microdose of herbicide to weeds, pollinating, pruning with tiny jaws, and detecting disease or crop ripeness for ideal picking. Other autonomous bots could harvest and do heavier tasks, enabled by information gathering of the bees. So much more efficient than a huge diesel tractor pulling a giant implement over crop fields. Cool stuff!

    Only if we could program them to make honey we won't have to deal with the fact that actual bees are going extinct. 😅

      Haha, good idea. But these designs may be too big to do that for now.
      However, there are companies that use microbes to make honey instead of using bees!
