I use Chinese calendar which is the most reliable method. Online bazi calculator is just an efficient way to calculate your Bazi if you don’t have a Chinese calendar (or don’t read Chinese). I would recommend trying several different website to validate.
I believe you should choose a simpler example for beginners. The sample presented here has multiple scenarios of combination / transformation (合化)。 丙辛 will combine and transform to water。 And when the transformation change the day Master, it is a very hard case. For the earthly branches here, depending on which school of Bazi you are using, there can be more combination and transformation. I do wonder, does Clara's school of thought need to make time translation base on the longitude, time zone and the hemisphere of the location of birth. I know some does, and some don't. But I have never heard of their arguments supporting / denying the need of translation.
As someone who also studies Chinese Bazi fortune telling, I think her statement is very professional and useful.👍👍👍
