We are trained to fly much stronger conditions than PG usually handles. The pattern is usually that PG flies in light conditions and once it is getting stronger, HG takes over. We can handle 20+mph wind launch easily. We enjoy 1000ft/minute thermals and not need to worry about 1500ft/minute sink. Otherwise, both HG & PG are absolutely amazing way to enjoy soaring. Personally since I started HG, I have already built deep trust with HG equipments. When I looked at multiple PG collapse incidents right in front of me, I got scared. I don't trust PG's soft canopy in the turbulence.
@@Hangglide Totally agree. Hence my question, why PG at all? If not for the PG noise, I think this would have been one of the best educational videos you ever uploaded. The PG shots feel like annoying commercials in the middle of an otherwise excellent movie.
@@kavehvejdani8796 I can't speak as a pilot, but I think one of the appealing attributes of paragliding is the hike and fly thing that they do, where they hike with the paraglider wing in their backpack, up a hill, and then unpack it and fly, land, and hike again. But as for floating around a park area, I dunno. I guess they like the feel of it? Different strokes/folks. Personally, I think hang gliders are the coolest invention ever.
Thanks, from 🇮🇳India Meghalaya so good
Beautiful, relaxing video.
Ideal gliders and ideal conditions - perfect!
nice one, Lijian!
👍👍👍
Question is, why PG when you could HG?

www.willswing.com/limited-edition-monarch-sport-3-sail-pattern/
